The Experience

The irresistible beauty of the Balearics is tempting year round; when the sun-washed beaches quieten down in spring and autumn you can enjoy balmy sunshine without the crowds. Just outside the honey-hued mountain village of Deià, down a narrow winding road, is a simple cottage with spectacular views over a tiny beach cove.

Inside, it’s simple and charming. An open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting room with a wood-burner; two bedrooms with separate shower rooms and a newer en suite bedroom, all with mesmerising watery views. Plus there’s air-con, WiFi, satellite TV and an electric awning above the terrace.

Wander down to the pebbly beach to swim and snorkel in the azure waters, watch boats chug past, or carry on to town for boutique shops, galleries, bars and restaurants. Ca’s Patró March, made famous by The Night Manager, is a popular waterside stop off for meals, or stock up on supplies and barbecue on your sun-trapping terrace.
