The Experience

Cast away your urban cares and settle in here. Spend long lazy days out in the large garden with sweeping lawns, bougainvillea, fruit trees (pomegranate, kaki, lemon and avocado), mature fig and a twin olive – it’s the Garden of Eden! But there isn’t a single serpent. Just a million cicadas chirruping heartily and frogs in the pond. Down by the pool there are comfy loungers, a little pool house and a yoga deck up the hillside for magical sessions while the sun sets.

Inside the 400-year-old house find cool tiled floors, a comfortable sitting room with a beamed ceiling, interesting objets d’art and a fireplace for rare cold evenings. Two big bedrooms, one downstairs, one up have shutters, mosquito-proof windows, deep mattresses and air conditioning – you’ll sleep peacefully.

Wake to a healthy breakfast of freshly made smoothies, fruit, perhaps avocado on toast, nothing from a supermarket. Walk in the mountains, drive into town.

Reviews

Thank you for these wonderful 5 days with you in paradise, Sylvia. Villa and host friend at the highest level. Thank you ❤️

Oliver, Köln

I booked a relaxing stay at Villa Manoa for a weekend. Silvia kindly showed me around the entire property - it’s beautiful! I shall now be doing my yoga retreat here for a week next season as it sleeps 12 & can be booked out for one group entirely. I can’t wait to go back! Great location too.

It is hard to describe Can Manoa but ‘magical’ is a good start. The villa and its gardens are in a secluded and tranquil setting, surrounded by mountains, sweet smelling pine and fruit trees, and extensive nature. Can Manoa location was perfect as it was only 5 minute short drive to one of my favourite places to shop at the beautiful boutiques of Sant Carlos. Las Dalias Hippy Market is only a 5 minute drive or 15 min, and some of the best beaches on the island are close by. Can Manoa was perfect for us, a couple seeking a tranquil setting, close to a beautiful village.

Jenny, London

If you need total rest and relaxation then come and stay here - Sylvia is a delight, the garden is superb, the views stunning and the cicadas very loud! Explore the island from this wonderful base, swim, boat, play golf, walk in the mountains, eat good food.

Location

The neighbourhood

There are walks from the door and a restaurant serving local dishes that you can walk to. San Carlos is very attractive. It had a reputation for being a hippy colony in the 60s and still has a bohemian feel and a happy energy. There are many restaurants, from pizza to Japanese and vegan. Beaches are superb, with no high rise hotels behind them – Cala Nova and Aguas Blancas are a 10-minute drive.

Local points of interest from Sylvia

  • There is plenty of entertainment all year round in Ibiza, plus a variety of activities for sporty types: golf, yoga, diving, kayak tours and some brilliant routes for biking and hiking.
  • Visit the Stalactite caves at the Port de Sant Miquel in the north of the island.
  • Visit the salt fields in Ses Salines Natural Park in the south of the island.
  • Take a day trip to the island of Formentera with its beautiful beaches and clear waters.
  • There are numerous wineries across Ibiza which you can visit and book a wine tasting.
  • Visit the Old Town of Ibiza (Dalt Vila) with its impressive cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Introducing

Sylvia

Sylvia, originally from Germany, has travelled all over the world but is now settled in Ibiza and considers it her home. She's lived here long enough to know absolutely everybody (it's a small island!) and all the best places to eat and to walk – she has a gentle dog which she walks every day. She's a keen gardener and a superb hostess, treating her guests like old friends. You'll feel welcomed.
