Rustic Cottage

The pretty property has a really special feel about it. It is peaceful and relaxes you straight away as you walk in. I loved the wide open-plan kitchen and living area with large wood-burner; perfect for a romantic night on cooler evenings. The main bedroom is grand with a large bed and a stunning en-suite bathroom and the views across the pool catch you at every corner.

We had a lovely week in the cottage it is ideal for a self catering holiday everything you need is provided. The view from the cottage is beautiful, it is very private. Danny provides all the information you require which was very helpful. We would recommend Al Ladino.

The description of El Ladino as a “Rustic Cottage” doesn’t seem generous enough. It is such a lovely, beautifully decorated, traditional house with a spectacular view down the hill to Nerja. Our two children loved the swimming pool and adopted the two local cats for the duration of our stay. Many thanks to Danny for providing so much useful information including great restaurants. We also had a peek at Danny’s much larger house next door which is lovely with a beautiful garden, pool and ponds complete with frogs and dragon flies.

Myself, husband and two kids stayed at Danny’s enchanting cottage for a week. The photos on the website fall short of how lovely the property and view are. It was a very relaxing, tranquil location while only a short drive/cycle from the centre of Nerja. The property is well equipped and pretty with everything you could need for a self catering break. When we arrived a fabulous basket of local produce was waiting for us with wild flowers dispersed around the cottage. Danny was also very helpful on local knowledge and restaurants which is always nice. I’d definitely recommend this cottage.

We visited this beautiful cottage for the first time this summer with my two young sons. When we arrived we were blown away by how beautiful and rustic it was and how well kept and furnished inside and out. So much love and care to detail has gone into making this gorgeous property perfect for any one staying. Me and my family had the most wonderful week here. It is lovely and quiet and looks out onto breath taking scenery . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return one day.

Our visit this year was our third. The improvements and renovations are outstanding! We already adored the place, but now it is even better, the higher ceilings in particular help to keep the cottage cooler inside, very pleasant. If you are looking for a very private and quiet sanctuary, one where you can totally relax, then this is the place to stay. Beautifully clean, both inside and out. Amazing views from the patio towards Nerja and the sea. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Wow! What a gem of a find! Moments after our arrival and we were already planning our return visit... Danny was so helpful with preparations before we arrived, from excellent directions to organising 'supplies'... Nothing was too much trouble to him... The villa is just beautiful. It has an authentic yet modern decor, which gives it a super luxurious and classy feel. And a quiet and idyllic mountain setting with stunning views out towards the sea. And just a short cab ride away... the lively, bustling town centre of Nerja on your door step. What more could you want? It's just superb...

My Husband and I booked this a special treat for our anniversary and I must say we were not disappointed. From the initial contact with Danny who could not have been more helpful to staying at the cottage. The cottage interior is very impressive and clean. When we arrived we were treated to a lovely welcome pack which meant we didn't have to run out right away and get supplies. I loved the open plan layout. The outside space were we spent most of our time has a lovely pool area which is not overlooked in any way. I would definitely recommend this cottage and hopefully we will return very soon.

We were fortunate to be the first to experience the recently renovated and remodelled Al Ladino. The open plan living/dining and kitchen area with a wood burning fire as a focal point is immediately impressive and provides the definitive WOW factor. Equally impressive are the two double bedrooms with their ultra chic en-suite facilities. The outside pool and seating areas are inviting, especially in the evening where the spectacular lighting around the property creates a delightful ambience. This rustic casita is a very special place indeed and we look forward to returning to this little gem.
