The Experience
The house is built into the hillside so there are different levels inside and out. You walk in to the dining and sitting room, with plenty of seating, a big table for sociable meals, the spruce kitchen and the terrace. Relax (in full sun or in plenty of shady areas) on loungers by potted olive trees, fuchsia and bougainvillea, admire the stunning views, listen to the waves pounding below you.
Two bedrooms and a bathroom are on the lower level, the master with picture windows to the sea, and up in the tower room there is extra sleeping room – all are simple, painted in pale colours. The owners leave you organic olive oil, local marmalade and a little basket of treats. There are restaurants a five-minute walk away and the centre of the village is a 15-minute walk.
A brick-built barbecue on the terrace, a big glass table and comfortable wicker seats are made for happy evenings with a local bottle of wine, delicious food and good company.

Location
The neighbourhood
You're in a quiet residential area down the hill from the main road. In La Herradura there is the café Lisboa for great coffee, ice cream and breakfasts. Around the corner from the house there are restaurants for barbecued fresh sardines and gambas. Numerous 'chiringuitos' serve beach food and there's a weekly market on Friday. Almuñécar is a 10-minute drive, as is Nerja and charming Frigiliana.
Congratulations on this new project. It is a very comfortable and practical holiday home with a fantastic terrace ovelooking the magnificent Mediterranean sea. Guests will enjoy not only the house but also Granada's amazing region.
