The Experience
You arrive to sounds of the sea, birdsong, wide ocean views, and charming Dolly. If there’s anything you need, she and her team are on hand to help: a spa treatment in your room, a round of golf, a bird-watching trip to the Alvor wetlands?
The whole place has a generous, cossetting, secluded feel; stay put and unwind. Four rooms lead on to the terrace with fantastic views; read a book on a pool-side lounger; help yourself to drinks in the cosy sitting room before taking the path down to one of the beach restaurants for local seafood.
Leisurely breakfasts in the leafy garden are continental-style: breads and croissants, jams and honey, ham, cheese and yogurts. If you’d like something cooked Dolly will see to it; it’s nothing but the best for her guests including fruit and flowers and expert advice on beaches, sports and local places to eat.

Perched on the cliffs of the Algarve with stunning sunsets overlooking the beach towards the ocean, surrounded by bourganvillia and succulents. Dolly is an unflinching host who can't do enough for you and has many tales to tell. She and her late husband moved and built their house in 1957. A relaxing, quiet place to meditate and read with long cliff top walks. The rooms are very spacious.

I found a haven for a frazzled, cluttered and above all fatigued mind - four days in the sun here... Dolly who owns and runs the establishment is an absolute gem - it one of the most charming places I have found to stay, fabulous location and simple good accommodation. It is a lovely place in Portugal….. sadly close to less lovely tourist accommodation but holding on to its class and authenticity for wonderful good accommodation and charming kind hospitality!

Location
The neighbourhood
This Casa is in a secluded, cliff-top spot with its own saltwater pool, the coast path running past the gate and 4k of sandy beaches below – where there are a couple of good restaurants. There are 3 local golf courses, the nearest 800m away and it’s just 5-minutes’ drive to the seaside resort and fishing village of Alvor with its cobbled lanes leading to riverside restaurants, and the port city of Porimao with its museum and medieval fort
Introducing
Dolly Schlingensiepen
Dolly came to the Algarve with her late husband in the 50s, they fell for this wonderful spot to build Casa Tres Palmeiras; originally their home, later shared with guests who’ve been made to feel welcome and relaxed here for many years. Having seen many changes and met many visitors Dolly has stacks of tales to tell. She knows the area inside out and, ever-helpful, is happy to advise on visits, sort out transport etc, in a number of languages
Our stay at Casa Três Palmeiras was delightful. The level of care and attention was world class, from handling our luggage on arrival and departure and everything in between (helping with dinner reservations and other advice about the Algarve, providing excellent (and filling) breakfasts, etc.). The hostess, Dolly Schlingesiepen, is a delight and we are so glad we had a chance to meet and chat with her. Finally, the Casa's layout and setting is superb. Our room was large, clean and comfortable and the views out over the ocean and down to coast to Portimão were splendid.
