About our places to stay in Norfolk

What is the nicest seaside town in Norfolk?

Hunstanton, affectionately known as ‘Sunny Hunny’, gives you Victorian seaside charm and west-facing sunsets, which is almost non-existent on the east coast. Holkham has stunning architecture and sweeping sands nearby. Great Yarmouth is all about classic seaside fun, while Wells-next-the-Sea blends pretty harbour views with proper fish and chips. Cromer is famous for its brown crabs and charming pier, where the nutrient-rich waters in this region make for particularly tasty crab meat. Norfolk’s coast is full of characterful towns, each with its own pace.

Is Norfolk a good place for a holiday?

Definitely. Norfolk mixes timeless charm with plenty to do. Think wide beaches, big open skies, hidden villages and winding Broads. You can paddle, cycle, crab off the harbour wall or just watch the world drift by from a pub garden. There’s heritage too, in its churches, market towns and stately homes.

Is there a lot to do in Norfolk?

Yes, and it’s the kind of doing that also feels like proper unwinding. Explore the Norfolk Broads by boat, potter through antique shops in Holt, or wander the salt marshes around Cley. There are family-friendly beaches, seal trips from Blakeney, wildlife-rich nature reserves, and food markets celebrating local produce. Inland, discover grand estates like Holkham Hall or take a steam train through the countryside. Norfolk’s magic lies in its mix – gentle days out, wild open space and time to truly switch off.
