Self-catering & holiday cottages in Kent
Kent is a fine place to go on a self-catering break, as its nickname “the garden of England” suggests. Recently, globally renowned, award-winning sparkling wines have been added to the list of fine things the county produces, making it an even more tempting destination. But great food deserves a great setting, so skip past all the bland self-catering apartments on offer and take a look at our places, run by passionate, creative people who want you to love Kent as much as they do.
Hotels in Kent
When we inspect a hotel to see if we’ll invite it to join our collection, we don’t go in with a clipboard and white gloves. There’s no checklist of facilities or “must haves”. We look for comfort, quality and a little bit more – a passion that comes through in both the service and the style. We only have a couple of Kent hotels at the moment, but thats says more about the size of our team and the time we have to explore than the standard of hotels in Kent. We’re always looking for more and, when we inevitably find them, we’ll bring them straight to you.
Pubs with rooms in Kent
Although we did say that a self-catering place in the garden of England is a great way to experience all the fine local produce of the county, you could always sit back and let someone else do all the sourcing and cooking for you. At a pub with rooms, you get the best of Kent’s food for dinner and breakfast, and the best of its drink for as long as you care to prop up the bar. We’ve found a few fabulous ones, where friendly staff and great chefs make your stay a total joy, and we’re always on the hunt for more.
Bed & Breakfast in Kent
As with hotels, our collection of Kent B&Bs is pretty small at the moment. We love a B&B for the more sociable feel they tend to have than any other place to stay. In fact, it’s probably because we spend so much time chatting to the owners when we visit that we haven’t been able to find many more! At the best B&Bs, talented cooks make fine breakfasts and send you off full and happy to explore the area armed with valuable local knowledge. Those are the ones we look for and as soon as we find them, you’ll see them on our site and in our newsletters.
