If you’re searching for a place to stay in Cornwall but want something more unique than a standard hotel or uninspiring holiday flat, you’ve come to the right place.

We personally visit every property in our Cornwall collection to make sure it offers not only quality and comfort but also charm and character. Since the 1990s, we’ve been uncovering exceptional self-catering options, hotels, B&Bs, and pubs with rooms—each run by hosts who are passionate about sharing their corner of Cornwall and helping you create unforgettable memories.

Our Cornwall selection includes everything from beautifully converted barns to cosy stone cottages and elegant country houses, all chosen because we genuinely believe you’ll love them as much as we do.

About our places to stay in Cornwall

What is the best part of Cornwall to stay in?

For beaches, St Ives and Newquay are top choices, with golden sands and great surf. For a peaceful retreat, Fowey and the Lizard Peninsula provide unspoiled charm. History lovers will enjoy Truro’s cathedral and Tintagel’s legendary Arthurian castle. Walkers can tick off a section of the South West Coast Path and should explore Penzance and Marazion for accompanying views over St Michael’s Mount. Wherever you stay, you’ll find breathtaking scenery, rich history, and warm Cornish hospitality.

What is the best month to go to Cornwall?

July-August is great for beach days, but also the busiest, so expect traffic and book everything in advance. Visiting outside peak summer months helps avoid crowds and overtourism. April-May is perfect if you love quiet coastal walks and mild weather. The sea is at its warmest in September for those who love a wild dip, plus the crowds have thinned and the light is spectacular. Winter is perfect for storm-watching next to a log burner from a cosy pub window. The Gurnard’s Head near Zennor is a winner.

Is North or South Cornwall better?

North Cornwall is for adventure seekers, with dramatic cliffs, legendary surf at Fistral Beach, and rugged coastal walks. It’s where you’ll find Tintagel Castle, the Bedruthan Steps, and miles of unspoiled sands. South Cornwall is softer, with sheltered coves, subtropical gardens, and attractive harbours like Fowey and Polperro. So, wild waves or peaceful waters? That’s your choice, but you really can’t go wrong.
