The Experience
Imagine the views: vineyards, a golf course, a starred restaurant, a rustic hamlet, and a bustling winery below. On the hill opposite, peeping through the trees, an exquisite 16th-century villa. Warm friendly Guerrina, Elena and Marilisa welcome you and introduce you to your castle, elevated and secluded. The tower is yours: massive and medieval. Enter a lovely wide hall, then a kitchen, vaulted, well-equipped and with a big dining table. Upstairs, a sitting room with dark wood floors and pale salmon walls, and a double bedroom and bathroom; up again to two bedrooms and a bathroom. Castellana is the ideal escape for golfers or wine lovers, with its handsome beams, gleaming old dark doors, wide planked floors, huge beds (two modern), antique rugs, and the odd ancestral portrait. Castellana can expand to form Castellana Nobile for larger groups. Taste the wines, swim in the pools, tour the family’s villa, cruise down the Riviera del Brenta, head for the Euganean Hills. And visit Venice.
