The Experience
You let yourselves in with a security code and come and go as you please in this rambling ancient building with thick walls, steep staircases and high ceilings. The various apartments have different floor layouts and are across different levels – there are three separate entrances from the street.
Each apartment (some with views, some not) has high speed internet, TV and comfy seating. Kitchens are well equipped with a functional, modern layout but you’re surrounded by restaurants if you don’t want to cook. Bedrooms are painted in soft, light colours and have really great mattresses, crisp linen. One has a terrace and from all you’ll hear the church bells and the gentle din of people walking along the cobbled streets, calling you outdoors.
The street is lined with restaurants, cafés and shops so there’s much to see and do – the staff have put together a binder for you with suggestions for restaurants and cultural outings.

Location
The neighbourhood
Like the neighbouring palazzos in this Santa Croce area, the building spans quite a few centuries. You could spend days exploring the Uffizi alone but there are lovely river walks along the Arno, you can take a picnic to the Boboli Gardens, cross intricate bridges, visit endless beautiful churches, galleries, museums and palaces. There's a grand buzz to this city and you're right in the middle.
Local points of interest from Saverio Minozzi
- Piazza della Signoria & Palazzo Vecchio: An open-air museum with grand statues, Palazzo Vecchio, and Renaissance vibes. By day it’s lively, by night it glows with history—perfect for soaking in Florence’s political and artistic heart.
- The Duomo & its Surroundings: Florence’s iconic cathedral, with its massive dome and bell tower, offers stunning views. The nearby streets brim with artisan shops, hidden corners, and the scent of fresh gelato.
- Ponte Vecchio at Sunset: A walk across this medieval bridge at sunset is pure romance. Lined with jewelery shops and street musicians, it’s the perfect spot to take in the golden light over the Arno.
- Oltrarno & Piazza Santo Spirito: Bohemian and authentic, this lively square is ideal for aperitivo and people-watching. Cross the Arno to find artisan workshops, cozy cafes, and a laid-back Florentine vibe.
- Mercato di San Lorenzo & Central Market: Dive into Florence’s flavors at this buzzing market. Browse fresh local goods, then head upstairs for a bite—truffle pasta, panini, or a juicy Florentine steak await.
- Via de’ Tornabuoni & Surroundings: Florence’s fashion avenue is lined with elegant boutiques and noble palaces. Whether shopping or strolling, the style and charm here are unmistakably Florentine.
