The Experience
Enter the monumental portal to the inner courtyard. This gorgeous, grandiose, 18th-century palazzo stands on a wide pedestrian street in Trapani’s historic centre, lined with shops, restaurants and fabulous churches. Duck down side alleys, live like a local.
Relax in your room, with its pattern tiled floors and charming furnishings, and maybe a kitchenette or ornate balcony. Down below, in the B&B taverna facing the street, the food is great. Enjoy a Trapanese pasta lunch or a candlelit dinner and watch Sicilian life go by.
You’re only 50m from the Porta Ossuna beach, or take the cable car to Erice, a fortress village famous for its views. Spot the Egadi Islands; the beaches of San Vito Lo Capo; the watery expanse of salt pans. Drive the stunning 30km Via del Sale, catch the ferry to Favignana. Here you can rent bikes and discover the Palazzo Florio, the old ‘tonnara’, hidden coves, and endless long white sands.

Introducing
Riccardo & Francesca Rizzo
Riccardo and Francesca are an enterprising food-and-hospitality pair who opened the taverna in 1994, and, some years later, the B&B. They live on the first floor so are around all day, as are their delightful team. Across the street is a small stores stocked with produce from their farm.
Francesca and team provided us with a wonderful stay. We loved our time in Trapani, assisted by information from Francesca who also booked our stunning horse riding for us. The restaurant is fabulous, breakfast cakes a perfect start to the day, courtyard dripping with flowers and greenery, and the comfortable and spacious apartment all made for a perfect base from which to explore the area. The great hubbub of life in the pedestrianised street below is the centre of Trapani life, but unfortunately is very loud from mid-afternoon until the small hours. A room not over the street is recommended.
