One of the most incredible places I have ever been. Enchanting garden and quality out of the ordinary nowadays. Fantastic, knowledgeable and attentive staff.

fantastic stay! I had a great time in the Villa Ottagonale, a beautiful house furnished in neoclassical style but with all modern comforts and technologies. The lake is wonderful, inhabited by migratory birds and all kinds of plants and flowers. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. Delicious dinner by the lake, immersed in a magical atmosphere. La Foleia is truly an enchanted place. I would never have expected to find in the middle of the woods two villas reflected on a frozen lake, a place of pure magic. All this seasoned with impeccable service, made of elegance and refinement.

I had the great fortune to be a guest at La Foleia, a residence refined in every detail. Two magical pavilions, untamed guardians of a lake of water lilies and lotus flowers in which they are reflected. At the disposal of La Foleia's guests is a timeless wooden boat to cross the enchanted lake, a charming motorboat anchored at nearby Lake Maggiore on which the wonderful and indefatigable hosts, Niccolò and Gemma, take the lucky guests on extraordinary excursions with irresistible picnics. What about the two magical pavilions? Exquisite furnishings, charming bathrooms with the finest linen...

La Foleia. The name and destination for a terrestrial paradise. This is the best location I have stayed at, a unique place that words cannot sum it up. A breathtaking private lake and a botanical garden immerse two beautiful neo-classical villas that face each other. Everything is curated to the last detail, making you feel like a king. The hosts, Niccoló and Gemma, made sure that me and my friends weren’t missing anything. I cannot wait to come back and stay at La Foleia in the spring, when the garden will be in its fullest of blooms and when the SPA area will be finalised. Thank you for hosting.

What can you say about this magical place!?! Look at the photos and really expect a paradise in Italy. A wonderful atmosphere by the pond of water lilies and lotus flowers, for those who want to get away from it all and live on inspiration for a few days. We really unplugged, the only trip we took was to visit an Orange Flag village on Lake Orta. We stayed in the octagonal house, the big windows let in lots of light and all we could hear was the hum of dragonflies flying over the lake! Everything was perfect, especially as we wanted to isolate ourselves completely and spend a few days relaxing

The two neoclassical villas and the stunning lake that separates them are straight out of a fairy tale: a magical place. There's plenty to do in the area but you wouldn't want to leave the beauty and tranquillity of the place, and the gourmet meals prepared just for you. Lake Maggiore is so close, only a 5-minute drive!
