The Experience

Piedmont is one of the great wine growing regions of Italy, and Francesco will happily organise tours to meet wine producers and visit vineyards and cellars. In autumn he’ll set you up with a truffle hunter and dog to sniff out fragrant fungi. His knowledge of the area is unmatched: whatever your interests, he’ll point you in the right direction.A big continental breakfast readies you for the day, you eat at your own table in the dining room. Unwind on the first floor terrace or in the cobbled courtyard; jump in the plunge pool in the garden overlooking green hills.Borrow bikes and cycle to a nearby restaurant for lunch (there are four within 100 metres) or get in the car for antique markets, Roman remains and nearby ancient towns: Asti, Alba and Barolo, to name but a few, are all within 45 minutes’ drive.

Elegance personified. A beautiful house restored with care and great taste. Immaculately clean. Superbly comfortable bed. Wonderful attention to detail and a warm and professional welcome. There are lots of things to see in the surrounding area and the village is charming. A very enjoyable stay. Thank you.
