The Experience
Legend has it that Otto III stayed here on his way to his Rome coronation in 996. A listed building, the house’s unadorned stone façade stands proudly over Chiesanuova. All rooms look out to olive groves and vineyard-clad hills before dropping down to Levanto and the sea. Sit on the terrace for a superb breakfast of homemade breads, salami and cheeses. Return for sunset with a glass of chilled Vermentino and stay until the glow of the distant illuminated bell towers enchants you. There’s a romance here.
Dinner is a memorable affair; daily changing tasting menus will delight – as will the wine list. The freshest local produce and a serious dedication to heritage; you’ll travel the region from your table. Earn your feasts; there are trails from the door. Explore the World Heritage Site of Cinque Terre on bike, scooter, boat or by foot – this hotel is manned by very proud locals waiting to show off their homeland; ask for top tips.

Introducing
Angela Fenwick
Aficionados of all things Ligurian, Angela and Fabio can be depended on for local top tips, the freshest ingredients and one of the best wine cellars around. Their passion is clear - great care has been taken to gather the best local slate, marble and wood in the renovation of rooms. When they’re not around Valentina and a team of wonderful staff are ready to help design your perfect day.
A covid escape into this bubble of felicità. And such kind and pleasant staff. An ideal way to visit the usually heaving Cinque Terre. Great to be away from the crowds, yet a short drive to pretty Levanto. If you've got time, visit elegant Chaivari (by train - the Genoa-La Spezia line is so well served) a short way north.
