The period of each piece shows on its face, so you expect the elegantly coffered ceilings, the deeply carved woodwork, the vast Louis XIII dresser… but nothing prepares you for the neo-gothic stone fireplace! The rooms in the stables, some up, some down, are pretty and spotless, each with good fabrics, some antiques, a neat shower room, and you can use the comfortable family sitting room. Madame loves telling tales of the house and its contents, and has two dogs, a few goats and four donkeys (a weekend car-racing track in the valley, though). Both your hosts work constantly on their beloved house.
My daughter and I stayed here for two nights on our way to the South of France. What a lovely place this is, very quaint and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the garden and being fussed over by their two dogs and cat. We especially enjoyed the sumptuous breakfast. Thank you Marie-Christine, we hope to be back again soon.
