The Experience
Owner Sébastien cooks superb modern French dishes from scratch and the restaurant buzzes throughout the year – non-residents are welcome too. If you don’t fancy getting out of bed in the morning, warm brioche and other good things can be delivered to your door. Walk or cycle (there are bikes to borrow) through 37 acres of green parkland, or get in the car for abbeys, châteaux, gardens, WWI sites. The coast is a 40-minute drive for blustery walks, wild swimming and seal spotting.Return to cool bedrooms and opulent bathrooms: one suite has a jacuzzi, another has two baths side by side. Aim to stay in the treehouse – wrapped round a sycamore, with a big decked balcony under the leaves – it’s the business!

We stayed here last year on our way back to Calais. It was such a convenient and comfortable stopover that we did not hesitate to do the same this year. The approach to the house is amazing. The room is spacious with a large couch and comfortable bed. Unfortunately, we again were unable to experience the restaurant as it is closed on Mondays, but breakfast hinted at what we were missing - fresh orange juice, homemade bread and preserves and the offer of eggs and other savoury goodies - perfect coffee too. Thanks Dina, we hope to see you again next year

A beautiful and peaceful setting, the hotel is easy to find. The gardens and terrace are gorgeous and an ideal place to sit and enjoy a glass of champagne. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The food is sublime and there is a very comprehensive wine list which is reasonably priced. Sebastien, his charming wife and all his team are helpful, polite and they take time to answer any questions you have on the hotel and local area. We enjoyed our brief stay and wished we had booked longer but we will return . Thank you to all at Hotel La Cour de Remi

We first visited La Cour de Remi some years ago. I remembered the food and the lovely restaurant so we decided to revisit on our return from the south of France. The food was as flavoursome as I remembered! The pork belly with lovely thinly sliced potatoes cooked slowly in oil was just perfect. The chefs wife is really charming and the rooms are cosy and relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

We have stayed at Cour De Remi six times and it never disappoints. The rooms are well equipped and the setting is impressive. Sebastien and his team are always on good form and work wonders in the kitchen, the food is top notch. We recently checked in when they were having one of their feast nights in the barn - a very special evening indeed. We come to France at least once a year and I think that the Crossiants (home made obviously) are the best we have ever eaten! Plus it is a handy stop over before driving to the Eurotunnel which is not far.

A fantastic spot to spend a couple of nights and explore this part of Northern France. A great base from which to visit Arras, and the Battlefields. Sebastien and his team are very attentive hosts, and the food and wine is outstanding. We will be visiting again, highly recommended.

Delightful three nights here in the heart of the beautiful Pas-de-Calais region. The room was comfortable and spacious, the welcome from everybody warm and genuine, and the grounds were beautiful. Breakfast and dinner were absolutely what you would expect from an accomplished chef patron and made delicious use of local ingredients. We look forward to returning soon.

A great place to stay. Welcoming, stylish & comfortable. The complete opposite of a large corporate chain. We chose to stay here as we were on business locally - next time we'll stay for pleasure, because it's that kind of place!

We have stayed about half a dozen times at La Cour de Remi over the last 10 years, both as a base for a few days and while en-route to or from Calais. It has always provided a great welcome, large rooms and good food - all at a reasonable price. Totally recommended.

Our 4th stay in this lovely place surrounded by countryside and gardens. Sebastian and his wife together with their staff are fabulous hosts. Beautiful large rooms and great restaurant offering authentic French cuisine, some cooked by Sebastian himself. A great stop over on route to Calais but also a good base for exploring northern France.

Location
The neighbourhood
The nearest town, Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise, is a ten-minute drive - it has a Monday market, shops and restaurants. Arras (45-minutes) played a significant role in both world wars and has an important WW1 memorial and the Jardins de Sericourt are stunning. The coast is close too - Le Touquet (40-minutes) is an elegant seaside resort, popular with Parisians, with interesting architecture.
Local points of interest from Sébastien de la Borde
- Headquarter of the British Tank corp during first world war
- The Centenary of the Great War 2014. The front and infamous trenches which brought so much suffering to British & Commonwealth, French and German combatants are only approx 20 mins away.
- Interested in Medieval history? The famous battle of Agincourt took place only 10 mins from here so feel free to visit the excellent visitors centre.
- The antena of the Louvres is only 40 minutes away.....Visit Le Louvres Lens on a rainy day....
- Arras and its famous square are very interesting to visit on an architectural point of view.... Specially on Saturday morning with the local market....

Introducing
Sébastien de la Borde
Sébastien returned to the family home, after an international career, to carve out a lifestyle business. After a stint working with Stephane Jego from L'ami Jean he opened the restaurant, created nine bedrooms and a treehouse and began welcoming guests. He’s passionate about seasonal, local food, the glorious surrounding countryside and bringing guests together in a convivial setting.
BLUF - A superb experience. You will need a car (and a good map/sat nav) to get there, but it is not hard to find. Parking is spacious and off road. The hotel/restaurant is in a lovely rural setting, and very quiet. Reception was welcoming and efficient. We were in one of the downstairs rooms facing into the courtyard, which was very spacious, well appointed, with an excellent bathroom. The is a very short (20m) walk to the restaurant. Dinner in the restaurant was superb, with an imaginative menu, and a good wine list (with a range of prices). Breakfast similarly is excellent. Will return!
