The Experience
Start the day beneath an exquisite chandelier. The owners’ attention to detail is amazing, from the 18th-century mirrors, period furniture, art and figurines in harmony with the house to the parade of fruits, pastries, cake and homemade jams at breakfast.
Your engaging hosts love their guests and their house, and they know the historic town of Arras well. From this small street everything is walkable and that includes the squares, magnificently ringed with Flemish-Baroque architecture. Have a coffee outside or enjoy a plate of ‘andouillette’ at one of the cafés on the Place des Héros or Grand Place.
Arras is at the heart of WWI history, and the surrounding countryside is dotted with cemeteries. In 20 minutes you can walk to the Carrière Wellington, the memorial to the tunnels dug by the New Zealand regiment. The guided tour is poignant. Return to sit in the beautiful walled garden or inviting sitting room and plan your next day’s exploration of this fascinating town.

Introducing
Jean-Luc & Isabelle Dubrulle
Jean-Luc and his wife Isabelle are charming, elegant and utterly welcoming. Interested in history, architecture and the arts, and having lived more than 25 years in Africa and Asia, they have returned to France, "to share the spirit and atmosphere of our property and of our town with our guests”.
It would be a treat to stay in this stunning 18th-century house. Isabelle and Jean-Luc are charming hosts and very happy to share their extensive knowledge of the attractive town of Arras and the surrounding area. An ideal place for a stopover on the way south or for a longer stay to discover the town and the nearby First World War sites.
