The Experience
The contemporary renovation of this alpine hideaway sparkles. The front door leads you down a few steps; inside, natural light beams across arched whitewashed ceilings with Scandi-minimalist décor and wood-panelled walls.
Find basics in the kitchen cupboards – it’s open plan so chatting and cooking come easy. Throw open the stable style door on sunny days and soak up the rays and mountain views on your terrace; live like a local and stroll into town for an espresso.
It’s a 15-minute drive to the Paradiski domaine – explore the mountains on snowshoes, skis or boards – ask your knowledgeable hosts how and when to do it best. It’s superb in summer too – hike, bike, zip wire and zorb your way through the valleys. Pick up a pizza for dinner, cosy up with a board game and film, and sink into crisp cotton sheets in your bedroom.

A fantastic apartment. A completely cozy space. It was very hot, but inside very cool! We had a lovely week in your apartment. We cycled a lot and have seen beautiful mountain peaks.

Pleasurable and we felt very welcome. Open plan living, nicely decorated, very clean, and homely feel. The outside area was also very functional and a pleasure to sit and take in the view. Thank you both soo much for being very flexible with the moving of our dates, and being super helpful and informative.

Beautifully decorated and relaxing environment. Super friendly hosts, great views and it's in a pretty town that has all the basic necessities (bakery/cafe, restaurant, grocery store). You can walk to the plan d'eau in about an hour, and it's a good base for bike rides (not too high up, and close to the cycle path to Bourg-Saint-Maurice - check out Pause for coffee and more). Thanks Simon and Nicola!

I highly recommend Nicola & Simon's apartment to anyone looking for a perfect place to relax & enjoy. During a period where there is some apprehension in booking trips away at the moment, we found the apartment to be spotlessly clean. The location photos are also incredibly accurate, the apartment is tastefully appointed and in a perfect position to enjoy the sunset in the evening on the porch. The kitchen is also very well equipped. Nicola and Simon were incredible hosts. Definitely going to stay again and recommend everyone else book too!

Location
The neighbourhood
Charming and small Macot is a world away from glitzy ski resorts. There’s a boulangerie and supermarket a few minutes’ walk, as well as a café/bar, pizzeria, town square and church. Find more restaurants in Aime (2km), Bourg and La Plagne (15km) and Les Arcs (34km). You’re 15 minutes’ drive to the Paradiski domaine, which covers popular La Plagne and Les Arcs, great for skiing and boarding of all abilities.
Local points of interest from Nicola & Simon Braggins
- Local summer events include the Tour de France passing by, music festivals, firework displays, markets and much more. Day trips to Italy, 90 minutes away, are possible through the Col de Petit St Bernard - it's inaccessible except on skis in winter!
- The Paradiski resorts of La Plagne, Montalbert and Montchavin are within 15 minutes' drive, with skiing for all abilities. Les Arcs can be reached either by the Vanoise Express cable car or by driving 12km to Bourg St Maurice for the funiculaire
- There's so much more to the mountains than just skiing and non-skiers are welcome. Superb snow-shoeing trails are easily accessible on both sides of the Tarentaise Valley, and the Olympic bobsleigh run is just up the road
- In summer, Maison Lennox is surrounded by options for almost every activity you can think of - road, mountain and e-biking, running, kayaking, canoeing, white water rafting, swimming, treetop adventures, fabulous walks, via ferrata and paragliding
- We can help arrange ski, snowboard and snowshoe lessons and rental in the winter, as well as white water rafting, kayaking and bike rental in summer
- Our aim is to ensure that everyone who visits Maison Lennox has a relaxing stay - whether you spend the day out on the slopes, river, lake or roads, or whether you just want to drink in the ever-changing mountain views

Introducing
Nicola & Simon Braggins
Having lived in France several times before, former Londoners Nicola and Simon bit the bullet and moved permanently in 2018, after buying the first place they viewed. Nicola works in the charity sector and Simon’s a photographer. Enthusiastic and friendly, they adore the mountains and have masses of advice on how to explore them best. They live upstairs.
Thank you for being such lovely hosts on our brief stay at Maison Lennox. The apartment is gorgeous – beautifully decorated and has everything we needed. The location is excellent and we enjoyed a lovely trip up to La Plagne where we have visited for skiing many times before, and driven through Macot on our way up and down. We would definitely visit again. Merci beaucoup!
