Across the street from the Blanche metro station, around the corner from the Moulin Rouge, a trot down the hill from the Sacre-Coeur and the best view in Paris… what a great place to stay! Your family-friendly apartment covers 100 square metres of mottle-marbled, ground-floor space – eclectically furnished, light and bright. In the living room are thick red rugs and burgundy sofas, interesting prints and heaps of cushions, and a modest but well-equipped kitchen tucked behind rustic timbers. Off here, French windows lead to an interior courtyard open to the sky, furnished with potted plants and a couple of café chairs, a sweet spot for morning’s croissants; the owner’s apartment is also off here (and he could not be nicer). Bedroom One (no window) takes a king size bed that converts into two, and an extra single. Bedroom Two is up the narrow painted stairs, with a big mirrored armoire and blue curtains at tall windows, and sleeps three. There are two bathrooms, one up, one down. The area may be exuberant but this pad could not be quieter, behind high wrought-iron gates off a cobbled alley.
