Hôtel Sainte Beuve

I had a very happy stay at Hotel Sainte-Beauve. I enjoyed the bath, the comfortable bed and friendly staff. Strolling to the Jardin de Luxembourg and coffee in Saint Placide. The hotel is really well located for travelling to Gare du Nord.

Hotel Sainte-Beuve is a good find in the centre of Paris. Located close to two metro lines, one of which goes directly to Gare du Nord, very handy for the Eurostar. Our superior double room on the top (6th) floor was a reasonable size, clean and comfortable, but be patient with the rather ancient, small, slow lift. Delicious continental breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff. A real wood fire in the lobby - a nice touch for a December visit.

Always tricky to pick a Paris hotel. This was a great find. Excellent location, near the Jardin du Luxemourg and a Metro station with a direct link to Gare du Nord, handy for Eurostar. I really liked my room – quite chic, with huge windows onto the street (but not noisy). Really cosy communal rooms downstairs.

Hôtel Sainte Beuve is one of those little jewels that can make a trip to Paris special. It's on the historic Left Bank close to Montparnasse and many famous spots, but not too touristy. Lots of exploring and discovering to do, and a refined human-sized home base to return to with a great atmosphere. Refresh and recharge, and head off to another adventure
