The Experience

Sitting in eight hectares, this jasmine-draped 17th-century farmhouse is peaceful, with birdsong as your soundtrack. The south-west-facing patio is where you’ll spend your time: lolling on sofas under 400-year-old plane trees, reading in a sunny nook, eating feasts at the long wooden dining table and sipping sundowners.

Inside is packed with character and original features – wooden beams, terracotta tiled floors, thick walls. Tinkle the baby grand, cook up a storm in the kitchen (shiny with new appliances and space for everyone), retreat upstairs to five peaceful bedrooms – one en suite and two shared bathrooms.

You are surrounded by vineyards, cherry orchards and olive groves – the charming village of Bonnieux rises from the northern slopes of the Luberon. Here you can find fine dining, vegetarian restaurants and classic bistros. Safe cycling routes, foodie markets and wine tasting abound.

Reviews

The most idyllic slice of authentic Provence that I've seen in recent years. Guests will surely have to tear themselves away from this stunning restored farmhouse. Will suit those who relish character over modern perfection. Ideal place for rest, relaxation and family/friend gatherings yet a stone's throw from a lively village with good restaurants, shops and a vineyard just across the road.

Magical! The house is set on an amazing fairy tail property. Fish ponds. Vineyards. Trees. Flowers lavender. It’s astonishing. The patio is so beautiful it doesn’t seem real. Bathrooms were very clean and modernized upstairs. Such a perfect property. Very well stocked and we wanted for nothing. We really didn’t want to leave. It was the best home rental we have and probably will ever stay in. The concierge Virginie was so lovely and helpful and genuine.

Our family had an incredible stay at this villa in Provence! The location is superb, just a short 2-minute drive to Bonnieux and close to other charming villages and markets. The villa offers perfect privacy, a true haven for a family vacation. We loved the serene atmosphere, feeding the fish in the pond, and lounging by the pool. The house is beautifully clean with charming decor, ideal for a Provencal getaway. Cooking in the rustic kitchen with all amenities was a joy. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space with comfortable garden furniture made relaxing easy. The hosts were excellent—friendly,

This is the best house we have ever rented anywhere! The beautifully-restored old house, the extensive and beautiful grounds, the comfortable patio seating under old plane trees--and especially the pond with its frogs and toads. When we had questions, the concierge and owner communicated with us immediately. We will come back always.

The house and the park, yes it is a park with a pond, was simply beautiful! It was an honor for us to be able to vacation in this wonderful environment!!! We would love to come back!
