The Experience
Come for the setting and the peaceful terrace shaded by plane, chestnut and lime trees. The hotel sits at the foot of the majestic Dentelles de Montmirail, a small range crested with long, delicate stone fingers in the middle of Côtes du Rhône country. Breakfast is self-service, dinners are candlelit, the family and staff are charming.
The walking is outstanding: over 40km of clearly marked paths beckon. Return to cool off in the pool with views or a comfortable seat outdoors, and a good book. You’re just a short walk from the famous wine-growing village of Gigondas with outdoor cafes and restaurants.
Thierry’s selection of French cheeses is outstanding, and the chef has been with them for many years. A place to unwind, eat good food and enjoy the views and deep peace.

Tucked away in a narrow wooded valley, Les Florets offers unusual peace in this busy tourist area. Thierry, the owner, is very hands-on, and will tell you with pride, that he is the third generation of his family to own the hotel. Highlights are dining alfresco on a warm summer evening and sunbathing on the mini terraces.

Our favourite of the five Sawday's hotels we stayed at in September. The dining room made a glorious setting for the absolutely exquisite dinners, impeccably served in a delightful ambiance. There was a record of sixteen cheeses to choose from and our selection was fanned out in order of strength for optimum delectation, accompanied of course by superb wine. A swim in the small but lovely hillside pool and a glass of rose on the terrace made a delightful run-up to dinner. We felt wonderfully well looked after at this very special family hotel. Professional. Personal. Perfect.

Location
The neighbourhood
It's so peaceful here in the countryside around Gigondas - walk the many marked routes without meeting another soul. People watch from a cafe in the town; ask for visits to vineyards and wine tasting to be arranged. Get in the car for Avignon (50 minutes) and find the Palais des Papes, opera house, shops and theatre festival. Aix is an hour and a half, for the Cezanne Museum.

Introducing
Thierry & Dominique Bernard
Thierry and Dominique and their staff are friendly and kind. Thierry's family have owned the hotel for over 60 years - his father and grandfather ran it before him. They're deeply steeped in the area, the staff have been with them a long time, and you'll be very well looked after.
We had a wonderful 2 week stay in Les Fleurets. Thierry and his family have such a wonderful way of making you feel welcome and at home. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was consistently delicious and the location beautiful. The walking was stunning too. I would highly recommend this lovely, truly French, hotel.
