The Experience

Relax in the shade of the Lebanon cedars. Slip into the pool. From wherever you bask, the landscape is dominated by the limestone cliff that oversees the orchards, lavender fields and wild garrigue of Provence.

This 19th-century mas, once a staging post between three castles, was later a farm. Now the former stable is a stunning open living space, and the granary a sanctuary for guests. Mara and Jerome’s dedication to the renovation shines through and they welcome you as friends – along with their daughter Morgane and their little dog Jango. Breakfast is a feast of Provencal treats and homemade delights with gluten or lactose free options on request. During the summer months they offer suppers 3 or 4 times a week – charcuterie, cheeses, salads and small homemade dishes with local wines and beers.

One of the less touristy lavender sites is a Cistercian abbey north of Gordes – Notre Dame de Sénanque, 15km. Also remarkable are the disused ochre mines at Rustrel, ‘le Colorado de Provence.’

Introducing

Jerome & Mara Pincepoche

Mara is Italian, Jerome is from Brittany, and both have backgrounds in hospitality. Great travellers, they met and married in Dubai, moved to Malaysia where their daughter was born, and in 2008 settled in France. He has a passion for fine dining and gardening, and she is "a passionate yogi"! In 2017 they fell in love with this place. Hospitality is in their blood - and they are living their dream.
