The Experience
The villa is part of La Baronnie Hôtel and Spa, an Ile de Ré landmark. Although it’s totally independent, guests are welcome to enjoy the hotel’s verdant garden, the courtyard, bar and the glorious spa.
Big comfy sofas in the sitting room and the garden jacuzzi will be most relaxing after a busy day exploring. The galley-style kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and the local markets brimming with everything seasonal and delicious, especially freshly-caught fish.
Find shops in the hollyhock-lined streets of the old town and a bustling port where you can watch the fishing boats from a seat at a café. Do what the locals do and use the vast network of cycle paths to discover the island for a week.

Introducing
Florence Pallardy
Warm and welcoming Florence, the ever-attentive owner, knows her island well: its nature, history, beaches, cycle paths, sand dunes and pines. She helped lead the rise in St Martin's popularity and has poured all her energy into making the abandoned historic monument a successful hotel for over 20 years.
The villa is totally separate from the fabulous hotel but also just next door if you feel like a sneaking off to have a massage at the spa or a drink at the bar. I really love the hotel and the family who own and run it, welcoming everyone like an old friend. The Ile de Ré can get quite glamorous, but the hotel and villa have retained a warm authenticity.
