Le Moulin de l'Epinay

Difficult to find a better place: very calm, beautiful scenery, perfect rooms and on top of that a very friendly couple who own this home. One of the best breakfast i know of...

Our overnight stay with Lynn and Duncan was a great pleasure. A welcome Kir set us up for a delicious supper and a couple of hours of lively and most enjoyable dinner conversation. The old mill house is set among lush verdant meadows with their chickens meandering around, so the breakfast eggs (with smoked salmon) were bliss – so fresh and free-range. It’s the perfect stop-over from Calais, but now we’ve seen the gorgeous countryside we hope to be back for a longer stay. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had a 4 night stay here from the UK with our bicycles and had a fabulous time. Lynn and Duncan are excellent hosts and their property is beautiful. Lynn is a great cook and we had delicious evening meals with produce from the garden. There are some great cycling routes in the area easily accessible from the house - and of course the French roads are quiet and well maintained - perfect for cycling! I would highly recommend staying at this property - you won't regret it :)

We stopped off here for a night at each end of our holiday in Brittany - it's a lovely spot in Normandy and a very comfortable place to stay. Lynn and Duncan are welcoming and give great recommendations of places to visit. Breakfasts are excellent with eggs from the chickens you see in the gardens and tomatoes from the garden. Didn't see the pool mentioned in the description, but can recommend a walk to the local village.

We have stayed at the Moulin several times a year for about 12 years. We are frequent travellers, and this is our No. 1 choice for overnight stops in northern France. Much better that a hotel, this combines a high level of comfort, friendliness, super food and an opportunity to converse with a wide range of visitors from around Europe. We really can't fault it at all, and are looking forward to our next stop on our way south, in two weeks time.

This was my 32nd visit to Lynn and Duncan's in the last ten tears. A peaceful, friendly B&B with fine rooms. It is great that the hosts join you for the excellent diners made by Lynn,a great cook.

I really enjoyed meeting Lynn and Duncan when I went to visit - they were wonderful hosts and it was cider-making day so I got to see the apple-crushing in full swing and sample some of their delicious apple juice. There's a lovely walk through the woods to the little waterfall at the bottom of the garden and I would recommend asking for the suite if it's available - you can sit out on the balcony with a lovely view across the fields. I hope to stay longer next time and experience one of Lynn's dinners!

We have regularly visited Lynn & Duncan at their beautiful home, le Moulin de l' Epinay, for about 14 years and each visit meets and often exceeds our expectations! The en suite rooms are tastefully furnished and well-equipped and evening meals are a treat - 4 courses, including wine, coffee and the occasional calvados!! A very convivial experience! It makes a great & convenient overnight stop 90 minutes from the Channel Tunnel, but is also perfect for exploring this lovely area, within reach of beaches, military sites and tourist attractions, such as Monet's Gardens! Highly recommended!
