The Experience
Follow meandering lanes to peaceful Pechauzi, at the foot of a hill below the beautiful village of Castelnau de Montmiral. There’s a relaxed atmosphere in the stone farmhouse, and a gleeful welcome from the family labradors. Sleep in spacious double rooms or cosier twins tucked under the eaves, which share a bathroom. Your hosts bring a love of food, baking and ecology to their new life in France, so there’ll be delicious breakfasts and four course dinners with regional specialities. Stay home to bake bread with Elizabeth or spot wildlife with ecological consultant Jonathan. Watersports, wine tours and markets nearby too.

We rented the whole house for two weeks. We had a fabulous time. The house was beautiful & well-appointed, in a lovely setting, with excellent sight-seeing opportunities in easy reach. Liz cooked a delicious dinner for 10 people on one night. Jonathan took people on three walks - fascinating & informative. We would recommend Pechauzi and hope to return.

We were the first guests in Pechauzi and stayed there for two nights in July. We are a couple coming from Toulouse and we were looking for a quiet place to relax for a few days : Pechauzi was perfect ! The house and the view are beautiful, and the pool area is peaceful with confortable deckchairs in the shade. We also had a good time playing pingpong in the garden. There are several beautiful villages to visit a few minutes drive from there. The hosts are very welcoming :) A lovely place to stay and relax !

A lovely house run by a delightful couple. Jonathan and Liz could not have worked harder to make my wife and I feel more comfortable during a five-day BB&D stay in their very pretty rural home. Liz is a serious cook, Jonathan seriously knowledgeable about flora and fauna. They didn't stint on their food (maybe the best breakfasts in SW France), their time, wine and conversation. Wonderful and plentiful walks on the limestone plateaux and numerous ancient villages to explore.
