The Experience
Delightful, energetic hosts have put their hearts into bringing La Lanette back to its 1870s glory. Find polished parquet floors, carved doors, opulent marble fireplaces; sleep in a vast bedroom or suite, sweep down gorgeous stairs to breakfast on pancakes or muffins in the splendid dining room. Heather and Russell have created a holiday haven for all – walkers, cyclists, couples and families. Spend the morning in the pool or borrow picnic things and explore the Pyrenees; return to early children’s supper, then park them in the playroom while you relax in the sitting room before your own delicious adult dinner in peace.

Highly recommend Heather and Russell’s beautiful chateau! The house and the hospitality were both incredibly! Great location for activities in the surrounding mountains and Heather was so helpful with recommendations. The meals were delicious (even asked for the recipe for her orange cake!). We’ll definitely be returning to ski in a post COVID world!

Thank you Heather & Russell. We had a fantastic time staying with you. The house is just gorgeous, your hospitality outstanding and the food amazing (especially the cheese tart!!!!). Such an ideal location to explore the Midi-Pyrenees and your suggestions allowed us to see so much in our very short stay. We hope to see you on our next trip that way.

Had a fantastic stay here, it was only one night but left feeling fully recharged, from our stay. We relaxed by the pool, had fantastic food and met some other great couples/families. Heather and Russell were great, very easy and give you enough alone time but are on hand to help and answer any questions. We will come back and do more hikes from Superbagnes next time. Thank you.

My wife and I had a wonderful 3 day break at this hotel. It felt like we were staying with old friends. We were very surprised to find that there is a 3 course home cooked dinner on offer 5 days per week together with wine/beer at a very reasonable price. Being vegetarian, Heather was happy to cater separately for the two of us. We especially appreciated being served our after dinner coffee/tea outdoors by the swimming pool. The grounds and swimming pool are lovely and very relaxing. Russ & Heather made us most welcome and couldn't do enough for us during our stay. We shall come again!

A huge thanks to Heather and Russell for making our stay so special. They were extremely welcoming and friendly, with great knowledge of the area and recommendations for walks, restaurants etc. Breakfasts and dinners at the Chateau were delicious and the Chateau itself is absolutely stunning inside and out with a light airy atmosphere. Easy access to hiking routes, cultural sites, and close to the Spanish border make the location very good too.
