The Experience

This grand château dates back to the 15th century, with a wing added 200 years later and the rest a little after that. Today, you can feel the history behind its walls – in the oak panelling and stone fireplaces, beamed ceilings and landscaped grounds – while thoughtful modernisations provide luxurious bathrooms, a serene spa and an eco lodge in the grounds. Float in the pool, unwind with a hammam or jacuzzi, play tennis and pétanque, or wander through the rose garden.

Bedrooms are sprinkled throughout the main building and renovated outbuildings. Those in the château range from opulent suites, adorned with dripping chandeliers and en suites with deep tubs, to renovated attic rooms with long parkland views.

A continental breakfast sets you up for the day, while the restaurant – open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner – serves classic French dishes. The full-time gardener proudly supplies the kitchen with fresh produce.

Reviews

It was wonderful to spend a night in this very attractive château hotel, to eat at the restaurant and to explore the beautiful grounds the next day. The staff were very friendly and the ambiance felt authentic and welcoming. My bed was deliciously comfortable and I loved opening my curtains and gazing over such beautiful countryside when I awoke.
