If you like Stone villages walking in garrigues hillside, easy access to charming markets at UZès, Sauve, Ganges, St HIPPOLYTE du Fort as well as exceptional scenery in the Piedmont Cevenol and wines from the terroirs of Pic St Loup - then this house can oblige.. it is also comfortable, warm in the winter months with a sunny garden. Further more sophisticated shopping in nearby Montpellier and Nimes and lots of well stocked supermarkets nearby. Much to recommend for an away from it all retreat.

For the second time , we chose to pass the Christmas break, with me whole familly, in this lovely characterful gite; the place is beautiful, nicely decorated. Also the house is very will equiped, which is very appreciable. In the surrounding, we found all the commodity needed, and very nice walks. This was a perfect time and we recommend without any hesitation.

Our multi-generational stay at this property was perfect. The house has great character and provides plenty of privacy for all. The accommodation had everything we hoped for with the outdoor kitchen the most used and the centre of our holiday. The pool was perfect and in almost constant use. Being on the edge of the dramatic and wild Cevenne there was plenty of cycling, hiking and wildlife to see. Tiny mosquitos that attacked us early in our stay were less welcome! Although equipped with A/C, bedrooms become hot at night and opening windows after dark invited bugs in. Staying here recommend!

The Mas Philia is just magnificent! A place to discover that deserves a detour with its four suites, the summer kitchen, the swimming pool, its quality of services, etc., etc., etc. In addition, a very warm welcome from the owners. In short, to try it is to adopt it in a magnificent region which offers us many pleasures and discoveries.

We have just returned from a wonderful 10 days in Pompignan. Patrick and Yvonne welcomed us warmly and allowed us to arrive early. They helped us with renting a car and also let us stay on a bit longer! We were spoilt rotten. Our four children just wanted to be at the house and swim, as August temperatures were around 35 upward. Days spent relaxing by the pool and cooking. Morning walks to the boulangerie. We are missing our breakfast of croissants this morning! Just perfect. Many places to visit in the wild countryside, the city and the Med too. Parfait!

We had a wonderful time with our extended family at Ostal Philia. The house is large, beautifully decorated with plenty of room for families to enjoy being together as well as having their own space if needed. There are two really well equipped spotlessly clean kitchens and dining areas (one by the pool) as well as four spacious bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms/showers. The owners, Patrick and Yvonne are delightful and have amazing knowledge of this area of France giving really helpful advice about places to visit. You will be made to feel very welcome in their lovely house.

Fantastic! We were met on our arrival by Patrick and his very lovely wife Yvonne. A more warmer welcome could not have been had. In the fridge was fresh milk . Delicious fresh bread, brioche tea,coffee and jam was also waiting for us so no worries about breakfast . The house was absolutely spotless clean and very tidy . A beautiful home that was very comfortable and required nothing. Plenty of space for every one , ideally located for all kinds of excursions , 35 mins drive to gorgeous beaches that had very few people on them. We can't wait to go back and stay at Patrick and Yvonne's home. Th

The perfect place to spend a quite and peaceful break. The owners Patrick and Yvonne met us on arrival and showed us the workings of the villa also providing us with provisions to tied us over. The villa is old with a comfortable modern interior set in a typical French rural setting. The nearby villages are worth visiting as is the nearby beautiful beeches. We had a wonderful time which had been enhanced by the villa, the surroundings and of course the warm weather! We hope to return soon, thank you Patrick and Yvonne.

Lovely characterful gite in a village of unchanged France. Delightful owners who cannot do enough to make your stay memorable. lots to see and do in the area.

Superbe maison confortable et au calme ! Des vacances dans le Sud comme nous en rêvions. Le calme en limite du village, de l'espace pour tout le monde avec les 4 suites indépendantes, tout le confort et la maison toujours fraîche pour se reposer l'après-midi. L'équipement tout neuf est complet et au top. Idéal pour se retrouver en famille, les enfants dans un jardin et les parents au calme dans l'autre. A recommander sans réserve.

The house is lovely, with everything you need, in a great place - a little slice of La France Profonde. Get to know the lovely couple who serve you bread at the Boulanger - their son is the baker and he is really good - cakes to die for. On your way back from the Boulanger, call in at the Bar des Colonnes for your morning coffee - run by a rather bohemian lady, it's a delight. Go for Pizza at the weekend and meet the tame jackdaw - don't know who he rooms with, but he turns up every weekend and steals like a magpie. The surrounding country is unique - a holiday joy.
