Château Gauthié

We enjoyed a blissful 2-night stay at the chateau. It is beautiful, tucked away in the middle of nowhere with the only noise the sound of birdsong, and Stephane and Florence were perfect hosts. It was very restful, the perfect retreat with stunning grounds, a lovely swimming pool and hot-tub in a wonderful setting. The nearby villages are all worth a visit, and the L'Atelier restaurant in Issigeac amazing. Most of all, we enjoyed our interaction with the hosts - and chatting with them on arrival and over breakfast certainly helped improve our Franglais! Merci beaucoup, Stephane and Florence

This place is an utterly family friendly B&B. Parents can relax whilst their children run free exploring the place and doing sport. The rooms are large and airy and great value.

Fabulous find. Stéphane and Florence were great hosts. We’re there when you needed them but was like you had the place to yourself. Rooms fabulous, pool and hot tub amazing and grounds beautiful. A true gem just outside of the beautiful medieval village Issigeac. Lovely cycle routes and driving to chateaus only 10 to 15 minutes away. Meal cooked by Stephan on the last night was lovely. He was so hospitable. Definitely recommend it. Very reasonably priced.

A lovely peaceful retreat in the Dordogne countryside, but with lots to do on site, if you wish. The pool and hot tub were most welcome to aid the relaxation. Our hosts, Florence and Stephane were very welcoming and the room and breakfasts delightful. Hoping to return in the future, but next time with rod and line, as there is a most inviting fishing lake within the grounds

I stumbled on this wonderful chateau while my husband was in hospital in Bergerac. Stephane and Florence were so welcoming to this waif and stray sans mari and just as welcoming when said mari managed to escape from the Centre Hospitalier and join me at this oasis of calm and peace that is Chateau Gauthie. Breakfast was a feast and one night Stephane cooked supper for all the guests which was as delicious as it was fun. The surrounding area is beautiful and there are bikes for those who want to work off some of the extra pounds gained thanks to Stephane et Florence! A fabulous stay.

What a superb find!! Located in extensive gardens equipped with hot- tub, pool, lake and tree-houses, the chateau boasts charming bedrooms. The hosts are very relaxed and we immediately felt at home. We will definitely be returning. A Bientot

We had such a wonderful holiday at the Chateau and were able to enjoy a few days stay in treehouse. Stephane and Florence are such friendly and accommodating hosts who made our stay so special. The location is beautiful and the atmosphere so relaxing that we were sad to leave We will definitely be back.
