Choose your favourite spot
Firstly, find your favourite spot in the garden and decide where your dining set up will be. It could be under the blossom or under the willow tree, amongst the roses or hidden in the woodland. It might be out on the decking and under the sun, or if you’re in an apartment, a cosy corner on the balcony. We’d suggest trying a different place than usual, if possible, as it’ll feel even more like a treat.
The finishing touches
When you’re on holiday, its the thoughtful touches that make dinners feel really special. The lit candlesticks on the table, the linen tablecloths and napkins. The best cutlery and plates, as well as colourful bowls and glasses. You could even hang up some fairy lights in the trees or around the fence to add a touch of romance. When you’re out on your daily walk, see if there are any wildflowers to be picked – this will all add to relaxing, holiday ambience. We love Laura Jackson‘s Italian-inspired dinner, cleverly created using just a table-cloth, candles and plates! Once your alfresco spot is set up, all you’ll have to do is cook up an Italian feast, pour yourself a glass of wine and change into your best holiday attire.
