It’s a generous place – a gourmet dinner party or lunch at a Michelin-starred restaurant is included. Gaze at stunning views from every window, choose a book from the shelf and settle in front of the roaring open fire in the living room while kids of all ages happily amuse themselves in the playroom. There’s a pool table, games console, dressing up box and plenty of toys.

It is well kitted out. There are Sonos speakers in every downstairs room, a sleek kitchen and delightfully sumptuous bedrooms. The family suite has a four-poster and adjoining single room, another has a tub with a view and the Loft Suite under the eaves is vast and spoiling with a copper bath. There’s a sofa bed in the playroom for extra guests.

Admire the pretty views of St Nicholas Church and gently rolling hills from the manicured garden. It’s a minute’s walk to the village pub for gastro-style meals; the Black Mountains are calling to be explored.
