The Experience
There’s a rather grand feel as you take the private drive up to the swathe of lawn in front of Plas Cichle with its countryside views towards the Straits and the mainland. All has been smartly renovated yet this is a friendly, tranquil place to put your feet up and let children and dogs run free.
Play pool or the baby grand, read the paper in the conservatory, let owls hoot you to sleep… as well as the high-ceilinged house for 12, there’s space for four in the Garden Lodge (only let to the same group).
Bring binoculars for bird and dolphin spotting nearby, bikes for the 17-mile Telor route and clubs for Henllys Golf Club; Robin and Victoria mind that you have the best time and have advice on everything from walking to boat trips on the glorious, nearby Llanddona beach. And it’s a lovely walk into Beaumaris for good food, antique, art and craft shops.

It would be tempting to spend whole days just enjoying being in The Plas and relaxing in its peaceful gardens. However, it is brilliantly located for sandy beaches, exciting boat trips, and bustling, historic Beaumaris. This really does leave you with a problem - what do you opt for when there is so much choice, all within an hour's drive or a short walk? Heads or tails?

Location
The neighbourhood
Near the Menai Straits and a 3-minute drive – or 30 minutes’ stroll - from Beaumaris with its moated castle, shops and restaurants. Try the Bull Inn for cask ales and gins, the Midland for gourmet tapas and the Bishopgate House which also specialises in local food; it’s 10-minutes’ walk to Harry’s Bistro for magnificent coast views and desserts. Anglesey is rich too for birders and sea-life enthusiasts, and the Telor Tour cycle path runs nearby
Local points of interest from Victoria & Robin Roberts
- Beaumaris - The Plas is set in a secluded countryside setting but still only two minutes by car to the Beautiful seaside town of Beaumaris, with is amazing array of independent shops, great restaurants and of course the Pier.
- Beaches - With The Plas as a base you are spoiled for your choice of nearby beaches, whether is rock-pooling at Penmon point, Kitesurfing at Rhosneigr or swimming at Llandonna, you're never more that 5 minutes from a fabulous beach on Anglesey.
- Anglesey Coastal path - its a challenge to do the whole thing but you can break it down into sections and start from us! The whole island has the best networks of well-maintained paths around the coastline and well worth taking the time to do some of it.
- Food - fabulous restaurants and food producers abound on this culinary Island - seriously, you are spoiled for choice when it comes to dining out, food festivals or for packing a picnic Robin and Victoria are happy to offer recommendations.
- Active holiday - being situated on the South Coast of Anglesey, The Plas is a great place to base yourself for the adventures that Snowdonia offers being it Zipwires, whitewater rafting, paddleboarding, cycling or climbing Snowdon itself.
- Do Nothing! We always get told the peace and quiet at The Plas is just perfect and with a large garden and grounds to enjoy, well you don't really have to go anywhere.Sit back and enjoy the views.

Introducing
Victoria & Robin Roberts
Robin’s family have had connections with The Plas and its land for more than 100 years and he lived there as a child. He and Victoria have poured their energies and love for the place into its successful renovation and live at the farm a short walk away, so are on hand for any help or advice needed. They’re really keen that people enjoy the area and have arranged guest discounts at local attractions and sporting venues
What a wonderful house to base ourselves for a much looked forward to family reunion. The Plas is really out of this world - your own country house perfectly appointed and with stunning views of Snowdonia. We woke to beautiful sunrises and fell asleep to the sound of a hooting owl! We explored the area (Beaumaris is a lovely spot for a stroll, a meal and a drink and the castle is well worth the visit) and loved the country roads winding down to gorgeous beaches and nearby Newborough Forest for a bracing walk! Thank you to Victoria for making our stay such a memorable one.
