The Yetholm Hayloft

An excellent cottage for two. Really well planned and thought out. High standard of finish, and lovely and warm. Hosts were helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed staying in this clean and quiet house.

Absolutely wonderful weekend away, in large thanks to this gorgeous cottage and its thoughtful owners. The cottage was beautiful, clean as a pin and filled with extra touches which made it a truly special place to stay. From being brought freshly baked bread on arrival, to the gorgeous bathroom products and soft towels, we felt very spoiled the whole weekend. Thank you!

A return visit for us to The Hayloft at Yetholm. This really is a fabulous place; a real home from home with everything you would need & more for a comfortable stay. Steve and Jane have furnished the Hayloft very tastefully. The bed is so comfortable and we slept well underneath the velux windows perfect for stargazing. There are so many thoughtful touches throughout, down to the homemade bread on arrival which did not last long it was so good. The location is excellent being well placed to visit many places of interest. I cant’t recommend it highly enough. Thanks for another wonderful stay.

We had a fabulous 2 night stay at the Hayloft. The property is in a beautiful, location in the centre of the village with access to many stunning walks from the front door. The Hayloft is spacious, comfortable and contains everything we needed for the weekend from the unexpected welcome pack of goodies to the comprehensively fitted kitchen and high quality audio system. Steve and Jane were excellent hosts and we will definitely be back very soon!

The Hayloft was even better than it looks on the website, from the moment we got there and were met by Steve, it felt special. It's such a comfortable and homely space, and you are not wanting for anything. It is one of the best stocked kitchens for if you want to cook that we have ever had. The walks from the doorstep were just amazing, we genuinely felt so relaxed after our 4 nights that it was a wrench to head home. We would highly recommend the Hayloft to anyone that wanted an escape that would make you feel like you were home. We will absolutely be back. 😊

Jane and Steve are friendly and welcoming hosts, the Hayloft is luxurious, cosy, scrupulously clean and has everything and more you would want in a holiday home.

We had the most special few nights at the Hayloft! It is a cosy, beautifully decorated, romantic little hideaway. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and it exceeded our expectations in every way - the delicious homemade bread (still warm), the fantastic music system, the great selection of books and information about the local area and the super comfy bed. Wonderful hosts and a truly luxurious experience - we didn't want to leave!

I was instantly thrilled when I arrived. A cozy, luxuriously modern cottage with l-o-v-e-l-y little touches throughout. And the perfect oasis to unwind at the end of the day, the loft was heavenly with its roll top bath. The impressive Playlist put together by Steve on the iPod, was all I needed to recharge. The surrounding foothills and Cheviots beyond are stunning! Walks are fabulous wherever you choose. Outdoor seating.... a great little spot too. One week in the Scottish Borders just left me wishing for more. You will absolutely love Steve & Jane.

The Hayloft ticks all our boxes. It has a good location in the Scottish Borders. The conversion is well designed and has been done to a high standard. The cottage is clean, dry, warm and well equipped. The accommodation is lovely and just right for the two of us. The owners are friendly and professional. The welcome pack - with home-made bread - is a real treat. In the cottage, there are details of walks in the surrounding countryside. There are good local amenities. There is a supermarket and other shops in Kelso and Melrose. This was a repeat visit – and I am sure we will be back.

Absolutely perfect retreat, with superb hosts who have thought of everything! If you're thinking about going, stop thinking and just get it booked! We'll definitely be booking again :-)

What a beautiful place to stay. Absolutely everything was catered for and we didn't want for anything. The attention to detail was superb and lots of little touches made it very homely and comfortable. The renovation of the hayloft was first class and it was quality through and through. I have no hesitation in recommending the Hayloft as a place to stay and can honestly say people would not be disappointed. Thanks to Jane and Steve for creating this little gem.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hayloft. Steve and Jane have thought of everything to ensure a comfortable and luxurious stay. We very much enjoyed the roll-topped bath after a day of walking in the surrounding countryside, as well as the cosy woodburner. We would recommend the Hayloft to anyone wanting to explore the glorious scottish borders. I’m sure we will be back before too long!

A truly cosy and relaxing place to stay with great walking right from the door. The Hayloft is is very comfortably furnished and the kitchen is ideal for self catering. The bed is enormous and extremely comfortable and the wood burning stove (in addition to the central heating) makes it a delight on a cold winters' night. A great place to stay with lots to do in the neighbouring area. Hosts Steve and Jane have made this a great place to stay.

The Hayloft is practically perfect in every way. It was warm and cosy and extremely well equipped. The wood burning stove, portable speaker and electric blanket were very much appreciated.

A fabulous little bolthole in a beautiful part of the country! The Hayloft has definitely been created with real consideration to the guest experience by friendly and welcoming hosts Jane and Steve. We had a fantastically relaxing and restorative stay, enjoying every aspect of comfort on offer, from the cosy log-burner to the luxurious free-standing bath and the generous and thoughtful breakfast pack. The tranquil village and stunning local landscape provide endless opportunities for gentle walks, more challenging hikes and visits to a range of historical and cultural attractions.

Absolutely lovely cottage, full of character and quality and with fantastic attention to detail. We have stayed in many Sawdays recommendations and this is one of the very best. In the middle of marvellous walking country, straight from the door. Hosts Steve and Jane could not do enough to make us comfortable. We definitely hope to be back!

Easy to see why the Hayloft has won a Sawday's award, we very much enjoyed our stay at the Hayloft which has got the mix of traditional styling with modern comforts just right. Very comfortable big bed and enjoyable long soaks in the free standing bath. Steve and Jane were very welcoming and gave us tips on where to visit. Steve seemed very knowledgeable on the local pubs!

Beautiful cottage with very well equipped kitchen. Lovely design features throughout the cottage. Lots of maps and books about the local area. The community shop in the village is very well stocked for all essentials where you can buy excellent fresh local bread.

Absolute perfection! The cottage was spotless and beautifully decorated. Room to move about and every detail considered with the comfort of the guest top of mind. Town Yetholm was the perfect base for walks right out the door, surrounded by the Cheviot Hills. We stayed for a week and hiked a different area each day. Close to historic sites but without the bustle of the larger villages. Steve and Jane were the ultimate hosts, but more importantly just great people. We loved our stay.
