The Experience
You weave through the forest, then arrive at this 200-year-old inn to find views of field, hill, loch and sky. It’s a magical spot, with a small garden to the front that drinks it all in. As for the inn, Alice and Jade rescued it from neglect, poured in love and money and now it shines. Interiors mix contemporary flair with Highland charm, the very definition of rustic chic. You’ll find a cool little bar, painted beams and a wood-burner in the restaurant, then a first-floor sitting room with fat sofas, books and games, goatskin rugs and Jade’s guitar. Bedrooms are a treat: chic fabrics, beautiful beds, cool colours, woollen throws. Some are big, none are small, one is dog friendly, most have the view. All have good art, decanters of whisky and spotless bathrooms, some with walk-in showers. By day you explore the hills, whizz down mountain bike trails or climb Schiehallion, the local munro. At night you return for delicious food, perhaps calamari with chilli and lemon, rack of local lamb, an espresso brownie with beetroot meringue. Queen’s View, up the road, has one of the best views in Scotland.

We had an amazing stay here, loved it so much we stayed an extra night. Jade & Alice are wonderful hosts, lovely comfortable bedroom, great bathroom but most of all we loved the food. A small menu which is always best in my opinion, ALL the food was superb and beautifully presented, we loved that our little Dachshund Ted was welcome everywhere. This place is a delight, tranquil and relaxing with beautiful views out over the loch. We will be back, thank you for a wonderful stay

I've stayed at the Inn three times now and whenever I return to London I can't wait for my next visit! The perfect place to stay if you want to relax in the Scottish countryside and be spoilt with breathtaking views from both the restaurant and the bedrooms. The food is always excellent, exciting and beautifully presented. Great sized bedrooms, amazing walks nearby and a real treat to curl up in front of the fire in the snug in the evenings! Well done Jade and Alice! Looking forward to my next visit!

Lovely place in a stunning location. Very comfy beds and a stunning shower! Pity we couldn't stay longer as one of us was feeling very unwell, so we had to head home.
