The Experience
Find a lovely guest sitting room with a small library, a bar area with a wood-burner and fabulous loch views, an upstairs snug with local maps, road maps, books and handwritten walking notes. You eat in the dining room, warmed with a fire on cool days. Chef Vanessa’s breakfasts include home-baked breads, homemade jams and marmalade, Arbroath smokies, eggs every which way, a full Scottish, veggie and vegan options.
There are some spiffing walks straight from the door and you can hire bikes locally and have them delivered. Take an alpaca for a walk, swim in the loch, visit waterfalls, play golf or explore magical castles. Return to impeccably decorated bedrooms, three with loch views, one on the ground floor with its own entrance and a little kitchen, all very swish with Noble Isle soaps and lotions.
On balmy evenings have a sundowner in the garden overlooking the sparkling waters of the loch.

Local points of interest from Anna Low
- Foyers Lodge is located on the quieter 'south side' of Loch Ness, with unparalleled golfing, walking, cycling, climbing and fishing opportunities on our doorstop. You’ll be spoilt for choice for things to do during your stay with us.
- We are surrounded by many beautiful loch-side and forest walks as well as being situated on the South Loch Ness Trail and Loch Ness 360. Walking guides for two popular local loops are available for guests in paper or digital format.
- The famous Falls of Foyers is just a short walk from the lodge. The 165-ft waterfall is situated on the river Foyers which feeds Loch Ness, and was the inspiration for Robert Burns’ poem 'Lines On The Fall Of Fyers Near Loch-Ness'.
- Our local distillery is Tomatin, just a 45-minute drive away. Book a tour to learn about the whole production process, from mashing and distilling to maturation, and you'll be able to sample a variety of different expressions of Tomatin.
- Urquhart Castle on the ‘north’ side of Loch Ness (45-min drive) was once one of Scotland’s largest castles and saw great conflict during its 500 years as a medieval fortress. We also recommend visiting nearby Cawdor Castle and Dunrobin Castle.
- If you’re planning to do the NC500, why not take the opportunity to visit Loch Ness as part of your trip? We’re ideally located for a relaxing stay either at the beginning or end of your journey.

Foyers Lodge, a great place in such amazing surroundings! Through its many incarnations, the building has welcomed passing travellers for a very long time and now, through Anna and Phil's wonderful renovations, the Lodge has really come to life, with its relaxed house party feel. A perfect place to chill out for a few days, or as a base for the Central or even the North and West Highlands.
