Aspen Lodge

What a wonderful place to stay! The views were breath-taking and the lodge definitely had the wow factor. We were greeted on arrival with the most delicious homemade cake as part of a welcome hamper, and there were so many thoughtful touches that made our stay absolutely perfect, the games den and popcorn machine were a particular highlight of ours. Aspen Lodge was the ideal mix of rustic charm and modern luxury, and so incredibly peaceful, we really did have the best time.

From the moment that you open the front door and walk into the living room you are greeted with a picture perfect view from the panoramic windows overlooking Loch Sunart. You could spend you’re stay just mesmerised by the this beauty, spotting eagles flying overhead or porpoise and seals in the loch but then you’d miss the many other wonders and delights that the area has to offer. It is very remote so you need to make provision for your stay, but that just adds to the beauty and tranquillity. If you’re a nature lover and relish beauty and tranquillity Aspen is the place to be.

Out of every window there is a spectacular view and so much to see and do - spot wildlife in the garden, kayak on the loch, then there's the walking, cycling and boating all close by. You are remote here - get away from it all and hole up with a book or a film around the fire or light a BBQ in the summer and settle into watch the stars once dusk settles in.

Superb lodge, superb location, plenty of "wow" factor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aspen, and really appreciated the welcome hamper and the little luxuries. Stunning location, views from the lodge are spectacular. White sand beaches are within an easy drive through gorgeous scenery, a truly memorable holiday. Cant wait to return.
