Ballantrae Harbour Cottages

Fantastic stay, felt like home from home. Dogs loved the garden and can’t wait to return next year.

This is our second visit to Beach Cottage and the experience was the same. FABULOUS. The cottage is a dream and wonderfully furnished. You couldn’t get closer to the sea. The furry friend was catered for with a bag of treats when we arrived as were we with shortbread. I just love it here. It’s my happy place.

What a beautifully equipped cottage in a breathtaking location!

We stayed at Shore Cottage. The cottage & location was excellent. The cottage had everything we needed. Very comfortable, a home away from home. The location made it very easy to explore this beautiful part of the world. It was also convenient for us to “ commute” to the Open at Royal Troon.

Our 5th visit and another splendid relaxing stay. Cottage was clean, warm and cosy.. apart from the day when the wind was from the NE and there were draughts from the windows, and as we could not control the heating, it was good to have the wood burner. Treated ourselves to afternoon tea at Glenapp castle, and visited lots of gardens.. which were beautiful. Also The Whithorn Story was an interesting few hours and well worth a visit. Also enjoyed the Burns Museum. I would say the places to visit info in the online brochure needs updating, as some of it has changed. Eg Dunskey Castle.

Wonderful, cozy and clean cottage, surrounded by a nice fenced garden - ideal for a stay with dog.

We had a lovely time in Shore cottage, it was clean and welcoming as well as very peaceful. The house was cosy but we did find the rooms very light due to non-blackout blinds which was a bit of a problem for our child in the morning (early wake ups!). We found the beds too soft for us, personally. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and the living room cosy with a log burner (although wasn’t needed as weather was nice!). The garden was lovely and secure so perfect for our dog. Wifi was a bit patchy at times when watching Netflix but otherwise can’t fault the house and we would return.

The cottage was very clean and well equipped.

Another fantastic two week stay at Beach Cottage. Fabulous views onto the beach and sea. Location ideal for dog walking on the beach. Really well equipped house with everything we need. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage! Perfect for our family visiting from the USA attending a wedding!

We stayed in the Old Fishermans Cottage and loved it. Very well equipped, spotless, and a perfect place to relax. Would definitely recommend it and we will be returning!

Totally in love with Old Fisherman's Cottage,it is the most beautifully appointed cottage we have ever stayed in. Well deserved 4 star. A total joy and can find nothing detrimental to say. Congratulations to all involved in keeping this cottage so beautiful. We are loving our stay here and will certainly return.

Four of us (my husband, I, my brother, and brother's wife) stayed in Shore Cottage during our first trip to Scotland. The house is wonderful; the setting fantastic; the village people ever so friendly. We are all hoping to return to this fabulous vacation house in 2017.
