New Orleans Cottage

Thank you for opening up your corner of the world to us! Four years was worth the wait. We are in awe of Scotland and feel beyond blessed to experience it from your farm. It is perfect in every way. Campbeltown is such a wonderful community, everyone is so kind. We loved feeding and watching the songbirds from the conservatory. We truly hope to be back again. Thank you for all your guidance and answering our questions - the intention of this place is evident in all the details.

This place is truly paradise. Breathtaking views, utter peace and serenity. Amazing wildlife - otters, dolphins, Minke whale, porpoise and wonderful birdlife. The light constantly changing. The sea crashing on the shore, The cottage is perfect and so comfortable and well thought out. We spent two weeks here but could have stayed forever!

Such a perfect place for sitting and watching the endlessly changing view. A multitude of different species of birds - sea, shore and garden. We were lucky enough to see otters twice. A big tick on my bucket list. The weather hasn't been ideal, but the clear days we've had have been breathtaking, and well worth the wait. We walked the beaches at Saddell, Machrihanish and Southend. But if you do nothing but sit and enjoy and the peace and quiet and the view - heaven!

Well...we have no idea where the week has gone - on reflection, we feel as though we have done very little apart from gaze at the sea and the ever changing seascape. The cottage is exquisite - so well equipped and cared for. Wonderful and we hope to return for 2 weeks to do nothing at all!

New Orleans has it all: spectacular views, peace and wildlife all seen from the sun room, which looks straight out into the bay. Venture outside and fill your lungs with fresh sea air, immediately feeling the reward for your efforts to get here. Buy some wonderful local produce and enjoy staying in this cosy cottage on the southern coast of Kintyre only 3 miles from Campbeltown.
