The handsome old stone, mullion-windowed building has huge kerb appeal and the interior doesn’t disappoint. The décor is deeply traditional, with family photos on the walls and window ledges, along with fresh flowers and magazines. Lovers of antiques will appreciate the tasteful furniture accumulated over a lifetime. Long views from most rooms over hill and moor promote a sense of stillness, and although the house is on a lane, it’s traffic-light. A range of therapies along with the ‘no TV’ policy and restricted broadband makes Thurst House Farm a proper retreat from modern life
