Lodge Cottages

Just spent a perfect weekend at Little Lodge in Staveley. The cottage is extremely comfortable and well-equipped. We have friends and family in the area and had spotted the cottages on an earlier visit. The living space and bedroom were well-furnished and the bathroom was outstanding. The location was peaceful and we visited the village pub for drinks and a meal. We would highly recommend this cottage and will be staying again.

A beautiful spot in an enchanting, peaceful village with great access to Harrogate, York, Ripon & Skipton. The cottage is extremely well equipped and they even managed to build a pub right next door - The Royal Oak, where the food and service were excellent. Rick's knowledge of the area and his travel recommendations were very much. appreciated.

We had a lovely stay here. The Garden Lodge has everything you need, the accommodation was of a high standard and is a peaceful place to return to at the end of the day. We ate at the pub next door on 2 out of our 4 nights here, which we found to be very good. The Garden Lodge makes for a convenient launch pad to visit York, Harrogate and The Dales beyond.

We had a relaxing break at Little Lodge and found it charming, comfortable, prettily furnished and with a well equipped kitchen . Rick and Sue are lovely hosts and we had an excellent home cooked meal on our first night from ex chef Rick. There is masses to do locally and we packed in York, Fountains Abbey and more then relaxed in the super pub next door and finally to a lovely bed.

We chose Garden Lodge as a base to explore beautiful Yorkshire for two weeks whilst holidaying from Australia. The cottage is quiet, beautifully presented and spacious. We had everything we needed for an extended stay. The quiet village is tucked away with a nice pub and all the attractions of of this part of Yorkshire are just a short drive away. Rick and Sue are wonderful hosts, lovely people and very welcoming. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay in Garden Lodge, the cottage is perfect, even nicer than the photos. We enjoyed dinner prepared by Rick, which I would highly recommend , a great way to celebrate my birthday. Lots of places to visit within a short drive, and the nature reserve on the doorstep was enjoyed by the dog.

We stayed in Garden Lodge.. First class accommodation, very comfortable, peaceful, quiet and extremely well equipped. Spotlessly clean. Nicely fitted out kitchen with modern appliances, including a dishwasher. The lounge area upstairs is very spacious, warm and cosy. There is a comfortable bed and large shower in the bathroom. The host, Rick, is very welcoming and will prepare a meal if required, which the guests finish off themselves. We had a delicious meal on two nights. Pub next door - lots of attractions nearby. Very highly recommended "home from home"
