The Experience
You’ll feel right at home here. You can settle with a paper or your laptop in the front bar with its open fire, the back bar, a small casual dining area or the airy restaurant which has doors to the big garden. Ponder a refreshingly small menu for three courses of fine food, or opt for pub classics like fish and chips or a steak. The sandwich menu is hearty and Sunday lunch very popular. A good choice of wine is sold by the glass and there are Butcombe ales.
Bedrooms, some in the main building, others in a conversion through the garden, come in pretty colours with mini bars, Roberts radios and beautifully made beds with crisp linen. All have en suite bathrooms with Bramley soaps. The garden has lots of tables, fairy lights, blankets, an outside bar in summer, Asado grill for barbecues and a mini festival in October.
Tuck into a full English before heading out to explore the town, or visiting Corsham Court, its gardens and lake.
