The Experience
The Renwicks are tremendous hosts. Their wonderful flagstone-halled farmhouse in the South Downs National Park is great for walkers and cyclists and you get your own guest sitting room for planning your next adventure. Amanda gives you generous breakfasts: muesli, Greek yogurt and fruit, bacon and sausages from the local butcher, eggs from their own chickens, jams and honey. You eat in the back kitchen by the wood-burner with comfy sofas, or in the garden.
You’re just a short hop from two excellent pubs, and Chichester is an 8-minute drive for endless restaurants, but if you can’t be bothered to get in the car then you can use a simple space to prepare your own food – hurrah! You’ll also sometimes find a treat waiting, like shortbread or a slice of homemade cake. Bedrooms are comfortable with wool duvets, silk-filled pillows and garden flowers.
Walk for miles through the beautiful countryside.

Spent two nights here and cannot recommend it enough. A real gem of a farmhouse. Amanda is an amazing host, kept our champagne cool in the fridge and provided a terrific breakfast. The rooms are comfy and furnished with some delightful details. Surrounded by the beautiful South Downs it is a place to return to.

Wonderful! Amanda is a friendly welcoming impressively energetic host. She was attentive to us, even left some wine for us to enjoy in the snug. A working farm with some outbuildings diversified into offices, with a large garden, in the countryside with easy access to Chichester and the Weald and Downland Museum, and Westdean Gardens. The rooms were comfortable and light, the bathroom enormous, the breakfast excellent. The rooms are part of the farm house but set apart, they are above the guests dining room which had a roaring fire when we visited in a very chilly damp November.

We stayed two nights at Crows Hall Farm over the bank holiday weekend and, as seasoned bed & breakfasters, cannot recommend this establishment highly enough. Our room was in the 16th century side of the farmhouse, with exclusive use of a lounge (with a wood burner which would be a great feature in winter). Our bathroom was the size of another bedroom (which it used to be) and had a bath as well as a huge shower. This level of accommodation in a hotel would be eye-wateringly expensive, but Crows Hall Farm is very reasonably priced indeed and represents great value for money.

We stayed at Crows Hall Farm back in April when it was still cold and a bit wet. However, we were made to feel extremely welcome by Amanda and nothing seemed too much trouble. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious with fresh fruit and freshly laid eggs. Would definitely recommend and hope to return at some point. Thank you Amanda for everything.

We think you would struggle to find a more welcoming or comfortable B&B. Firstly the bed, can it be plush & homely at the same time? This was, we slept so well. Seondly the breakfast. It’ tasty and very generous. Don’t miss the scrambled eggs. And we have to mention the space, you do have your own wing of the house, own eating space, own little lounge, huge bathroom and a choice of bedrooms. And did we mention Amanda, truly the host with the most. Friendly, helpful, full of info and thinks of everything. And the final mention for Douglas, the sweetest dog you could wish for.

The warmest welcome from wonderful host Amanda, nothing was too much trouble. The Bedrooms are clean, pretty and airy, crisp cotton bedding and sublimely comfortable mattresses. The view from our double room looked out onto the beautifully kept garden. Spot woodpeckers on the feeders and if you are very lucky hear a Cuckoo! The huge rainfall shower ensures you are fully awake to enjoy a fantastic Aga full English Breakfast then out to explore the sublime South Downs... Kingley Vale with its ancient Yews is a must, as is Bosham where you can catch a foot ferry across the water. Magic!

A peaceful retreat in busy Sussex and just a few miles from Chichester in rolling South Downs. A working farm but not intrusive on visitors' activities. Amanda was an attentive host in the background, but always helpful if called upon. Huge breakfasts offered and enjoyed. A very comfortable stay for three nights enabled us to enjoy Pallant House in Chichester and explore surrounding country.

This place is just wonderful. Amanda does an incredible job. It’s beautiful, spotlessly clean and everything down to the linen and the butter dish is high quality. It’s very tastefully decorated but practical and homely too. It has everything you need and Amanda is on hand for anything else. Perfect for families with little ones - you have the whole upstairs to yourself and can lock the doors at the top of the stairs so there is no escape! Our girls (4&2) loved it. They decided that they wanted to stay and had to be prised away. We will definitely be back!

Wow, late booking and just passing through for a night but what a great find this was. Absolutely spotless, fabulous dahlias (thanks Amanda, our dahlia cutting garden is already prepped for this year) and gorgeous breakfast. No concerns with being on a working farm. Our puppy left a tiny present in the kitchen, so assuming we are allowed back, this place is very much on the list to re-visit. Thanks for a great stay.

Introducing
Amanda Renwick
Amanda has lived on the farm for 25 years with husband Peter, a third-generation farmer. They have three sons together and the farm will be handed down to their eldest, Sam, who is already working there. The family are hugely warm and welcoming, and they have a friendly, quiet dog who you may meet too.
We had 4 nights here and loved it! It's definitely the best B and B we've ever used. The bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom is amazing! Huge shower and a beautiful bath . We loved our view of the garden. The lounge was an added bonus for watching the exciting Euros semis and Wimbledon. Breakfast was really good. The scrambled eggs were excellent and Amanda was happy to give us both exactly what we wanted. She's a wonderful hostess, there when needed and very hospitable but not overbearing in the slightest. A really enjoyable stay.
