The Old Post Box

Had a great stay, cottage is well provisioned with kit and equipment. The location is excellent, there are walks out the front door and while the court yard garden is enough to let the dog out in the morning, its only 50 yards up the track to get onto fields. Coast is not far away and lots of good pubs, delis and shops in the area.

The Old Post Box is a beautiful hidden gem in the village of Holton. It has been sympathetically restored retaining lots of period features including original beams and a log burning stove. The modern day conveniences have been thoughtfully added and the rooms well-proportioned. The whole cottage was immaculate throughout. There was ample parking just a few seconds away. Lots of useful extras were provided like umbrellas (luckily not needed), herbs/spices, cooking oil etc. The garden is just enchanting. Bliss...

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Post Box. The cottage is extremely comfortable and equipped with everything you need. Liz also provided helpful information about the surrounding area with tips on eating out, walks, and the best beaches. We hope to return again very soon, thank you Liz for a wonderful stay!

Had a lovely stay with our 3 generation family of 6 in this delightful cottage. It is very cosy, with many endearing features. Easy reach of Southwold and various good pubs. It is very well equipped with everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Beds very comfortable, and all in all, an excellent find.

Such a lovely place to stay, you feel at home as soon as you walk in, the cottage has a lovely warm and welcoming feel, it’s clean, well presented and cosy. The beds are super comfy and the lounge area is a lovely place to relax in the evening. We were well placed to visit lots of local attractions and were spoilt for choice when it came to places to explore with the dog in tow. Some excellent pubs for lunches on the doorstep. A really lovely break, will come again!

Lovely warm, pretty and cosy old cottage. Has everything you need for a comfortable holiday stay. Ideally located to visit all the local sights and beaches, with something to do for all generations. Well worth a visit.

The Old Post Box is a lovely cottage and the important things work very well: good beds; lots of hot water; a well equipped kitchen; a comfortable living room and a very pretty cottage garden, which was a sun trap when we were there. The location is great - the coast is very close, and so is the beautiful Waveney Valley - and there’s a great choice of places to eat and drink nearby. It made a perfect base for our long weekend and we would definitely return.

Our second consecutive Easter stay at The Old Post Box and we loved it even more this time around if that’s possible!! A great base for coast and county, a beautiful cosy cottage that has ample room for our growing family of five. Us and the children settle in to our home from home, light the fire and the kids grab down cluedo from upstairs and we settle into our cosy nest. So close to the peaceful and beautiful beaches of Covehithe and Dunwich and gentile delights of Southwold, it’s pier and gelato the size of one’s head!! Cannot wait to return to our fave little bolt hole.

Enjoyed our return visit to The Old Postbox. The comfortable, cosy cottage has everything we need for a lovely relaxing stay. Its location is ideal for exploring the nearby coastal towns and countyside. We’ll definitely be back!

We enjoyed our first visit to the Old Post Box, it's a beautiful cosy cottage within lovely surroundings. We walked into Halesworth and enjoyed a few drinks and a lovely meal at the Angel. We visited nearby Southwold, Framlingham Castle and Thorpeness and had a lovely weekend.

We had a lovely stay in Liz and Paul’s cottage. So much to see and do within easy access from the village and lovely to be able to head back to such well maintained accommodation after a busy day out and about. Lots of helpful tips on things to do both near and far are included and the local farm shop is a real treat. We look forward to coming again!

We absolutely loved Liz & Paul’s cottage. We are a family of four with two young children and a dog & we couldn’t have been happier in such a cozy place. We felt instantly at home on arriving & my kids loved exploring all the nooks and crannies of such a character filled home away from home. We played games in the deceptively spacious sitting room & read in cosy corners. It was really hot the weekend we were there, but the house stayed cool & being so near the sea was a treat. We loved exploring the coast & went crabbing for the first time which was so fun. We’d go back in a heartbeat!

What an amazing gem! A fabulous cottage, extremely comfortable and well equipped, perfectly positioned for visiting coast and countryside. Lovely small courtyard garden, dog friendly, peaceful and just right for relaxing.

Absolutely lovely little cottage. We explored lots of places nearby. Nice walks. Great for kids and dogs. All new and clean. V much recommended.

A cosy hideaway in the Suffolk countryside - Liz's cottage is perfectly located to explore Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh. We also took Liz's advice to visit Framlington and its castle. The cottage itself has character thanks in part to its eclectic decor of antique pieces. The beds were also supremely comfortable!

We loved Liz and Paul’s pad in Suffolk. It’s beautiful, well thought out, great location and a real home away from home. We had an excellent week exploring the area with so much on our doorstep. We loved the beaches, local farms, mini golf, crabbing and great food. The treats left for our arrival were also much appreciated. Would totally recommend this place for a great base on the East Suffolk coast!

We had a very lovely stay - the cottage provided a great spot to explore the surrounding area. It's a very cosy home with a well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds.

I’ve just recently stayed at The Old Post Box, Halesworth in Suffolk. The cottage Is as described and situated in a quiet pretty village. There’s a farm shop within a few minutes walk. We shopped there twice. The cottage was clean and very well presented. The beds and pillows very comfy. This cottage is of period with exposed beams. It has a retro vibe. It has everything you would need and is a home from home. It is conveniently situated with access to all of the coastal resorts. Liz had left a manual of how everything works in the cottage. We had a wonderful holiday and would recommend.
