Chickpea Pubs have done a fabulous job in breathing new life into this striking 17th-century village pub, close to Bruton, Glastonbury, and the Mendip Hills for breezy walks. Rooms are simple, cosy and stylish, the best are above the pub and two have roll-top tubs. Sup a pint of Otter by the fire in the traditional, hop-adorned bar and tuck into some delicious pub food or an excellent Nole pizza.
