The Experience
This sustainably built place to stay has internal lime rendering and is heavily insulated so you’ll feel very cosy with underfloor heating from an air source system. Inside find large picture windows, natural materials and bifold doors opening out to a terrace and a gravel garden with views over the meadow – lovely to eat out here on a warm evening listening to many birds. The living space is open plan and you’ll find books, board games and puzzles for rainy days.
The kitchen is extremely well geared up for cooks and you’ll find something homemade along with organic eggs and milk (of your choice), a bottle of local apple juice and delicious local cider waiting to welcome you. The two double bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows for wonderful views.
From spring to autumn bats fly around, little and tawny owls call to one another and there are many species of birds, including swallows in summer. Spot a myriad of butterflies and wildflowers too.

We had a fantastic mini break at Little Wishel. Absolutely brilliant. Super clean, comfortable home as our base for exploring Somerset. Day out at Wells Cathedral and a trip to Longleat. Beautiful views and a peaceful setting for relaxing.

We had a couple of nights at Little Wishel. Charlotte, the owner, advised us on local pubs for evening meals etc and was very helpful and friendly. We visited the Willow Centre and Muchelney Abbey and it looks as if there are lots of interesting walks nearby. The outside sitting areas would be lovely in warmer weather and it was very quiet and peaceful. The bird feeder had some very interesting visitors too.

Introducing
Charlotte Casciaro
Charlotte is a gardener and Lee works as a psychotherapeutic counsellor. As soon as they found Wishel Meadow they realised it was the perfect setting for their long-held plan to offer holidays. It gives them great pleasure to share their little slice of paradise with guests and to look after a much-needed haven for wildlife.
We had a wonderful relaxing time with family. Little Wishel is in a beautiful spot very remote with lots of wildlife. Although it is close to the owners house, it is well designed so you do not even notice they are there. We had a lovely rainy week and it would be even better in the sunshine.
