The Experience

This 16th-century cottage reveals its delights bit by bit. Find a quarry tiled entrance then an absolutely knock-out beautifully designed and put together kitchen and eating space. Lovely to chat and cook in here or tumble out to the rose-filled terraced garden and have a barbecue outdoors. The sitting room is panelled and painted; you’ll feel cosy by the gas-fired wood-burner with a book, there’s desk space for workers or you can nip up a ladder to the snug.

The whole house is higgledy-piggledy and charming. Up the rather steep steps to a peaceful bedroom with a comforting patchwork quilt and an en suite bathroom. There’s an extra bedroom and shower room downstairs. Views from the back are to woods and an old wall, you have the best of both worlds inside and out.

Wander to a great little place to eat by the river, choose from many restaurants and pubs in town, buy some great local and seasonal produce and bring it back to cook.

Reviews

A truly delightful cottage in a plum location in one of the Welsh Marches' prettiest towns. An upbeat blend of art, furniture and fabrics work perfectly with ancient beams and walls. The terraced garden is a treat for al fresco dining with fresh local produce bought in the market square and cooked in the light and spacious kitchen. There is so much to do in town and to all points of the compass.

Perfect cottage and perfect location - 5 mins to river and 5 mins in opposite direction to town centre. Weather was very good so we also made good use of the lovely terraced garden. Cottage was very well equipped and we lacked for nothing. Will definitely return!

Michael, Preston

Booking and correspondence all very smooth. Clear instructions to find and get into the property. Lovely, quirky, cosy cottage in a great location to walk into Ludlow or embark on a walk in the surrounding area. Fabulous kitchen, perfect and well equipped for self catering.

Kate, Worcestershire

We stayed for a long weekend and really enjoyed our stay. We wanted somewhere comfortable and quiet. The location is ideal, away from the noise of the town centre, but a short walk to everything. The parking was easy, the permit meant we could just forget about the car. The cottage is extremely well equipped for a self catering stay, and very comfortable. Quality linens, lovely crockery. We particularly enjoyed the garden, we were blessed with good weather and ate in the far part of the garden, a private sun trap, surrounded by lavender and rosemary plants. The wet room is also a highlight.

Krista, Wrexham

We absolutely loved our stay in the cottage. It has the perfect position on a quiet lane, so easy to explore on foot all the delights of Ludlow or wander down to the river for a walk, swim or for coffee down at the riverside cafe. Beautiful private garden and the thoughtfully furnished interior made our stay in Ludlow a really special one. We will be back!

Faultless property! The best location! Nothing out of place. A beautiful cottage in the best part of Ludlow - Ssssssh! Keep it a secret!

Andy, Manchester

10 Camp Lane is a wonderful cottage in a great location 5 or 10 minutes walk from the market square in Ludlow. Judy was very kind and extremely helpful at arranging a very short notice break. Her cottage is absolutely delightful, it is a pleasure just to be there, and to have all that Ludlow offers on your doorstep is very convenient. Go there! You will not regret it!

Mary, Bridgnorth

We found the cottage warm and welcoming when we arrived. Kevin met us, explained the parking system and showed us around. It is all very well thought out, and the kitchen is comprehensively equipped. The situation is very quiet as hardly any traffic use the lane. It was not warm enough for us to sit out, but we could appreciate how the garden would be an asset in warmer weather. As Ludlow is so compact, everything is within walking distance, with excellent pubs and restaurants nearby. This is a real find, and we look forward to a return visit.

Caroline, Scarborough, North Yorkshire

We really enjoyed our 3 weeks at the cottage. It was everything we were expecting and more. Judy was exceptionally kind accommodating us when we showed up early (and sick)

Chris, Victoria, BC

Stunning cottage and lovely garden. Far exceeds one's expectations of a holiday cottage as it is so tastefully decorated and very well equipped. Superbly peaceful location. The best cottage we have ever stayed in a lovely quintessentially English town.
