The Experience
Along country lanes and surrounded by fields, this secluded farm is the perfect place for a group of family or friends wanting to get away from it all. Groups larger than six can spill over to The Bothy, which sleeps two more. The only noise you’ll hear will be birdsong and farm animals, perhaps the occasional whoop from someone splashing around in the natural swimming pond. Generous owners Ben and Kate, who transformed the property back into a working farm, live just across the farmyard and are on hand to help should you need it. Your 19th-century stone barn is simple, homely and stylish, with a light and airy open-plan living space, limestone flooring, African rugs and Ben’s artwork on the walls. The kitchen, its walls lined with open shelves, has everything you need and there’s space to eat inside and out. Upstairs, colourful cushions and throws make the bedrooms comfy and cosy and the en suite shower room and family bathroom are sleek and sparkling clean, with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Head out on excellent walking and cycle trails, take a trip to Shakespeare’s Stratford, or simply stay and lounge on the lawn, take a dip in the pond and warm up by the wood-burner.

Kate and Ben have a lovely, relaxing retreat in the countryside. From the start, Kate was very communicative and helped us with any questions. She greeted us upon arrival and had some nice surprises and welcoming touches waiting for us inside. The retreat was sparkling clean, bright with lots of windows in every room, and very comfortable. Starting a fire both nights warmed up the whole space and made it feel cozy. We loved Hilda the boxer and the sweet kitty who greeted us outside in the mornings.....we would highly recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful barn in the most sublime setting. The natural swimming pool was just gorgeous and a huge bonus of the yoga classes running next door! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Little Barn. It was perfect in every way for our family of 4. The cottage was beautifully decorated and had every amenity that we could imagine needing. It was our first time traveling in the UK, outside of London, and we wish we had more time to explore the area. There was certainly plenty to do just a short drive away. It was also lovely just to walk around the footpaths between the farms and among the houses. Would love to go back in the summer months to take advantage of the natural swimming pool! The owners were very helpful, yet unobtrusive.

Location
The neighbourhood
Local points of interest from Kate & Ben Brown
- Walk straight out of the barn, down quiet roads and bridleways or head a mile and a half to Ramsden and dine at the classic village pub, The Royal Oak.
- The historical city of Oxford - home to the Ashmolean, the Botanical Gardens, the Sheldonian and the city's beautiful Colleges - is only 12 miles away.
- Other interesting sites include the fabulous Blenheim Palace (World Heritage Site) just 10 miles away and go west to Stratford if you're a Shakespeare fan.
- On the farm Ben and Kate have concentrated on rearing rare breed livestock. They currently have Shorthorn and British White beef, Lleyn sheep and Berkshire pigs.
- The farm is located in the Cotswolds and accessible to a plethora of beautiful villages, stunning countryside, as well as some top class restaurants and pubs, such as the Wild Rabbit and The Plough in Kingham.
- Ben has recently finished building a natural swimming pond on the farm which is as near to Wild Swimming as it gets. Swim with the dragon flies and swallows swooping down on the water! Some of our braver guests bring wet suits during the cooler months.

Introducing
Kate & Ben Brown
Ben and Kate have renovated the barns and outbuildings of their farm without losing their traditional charm. They farm Shorthorn cattle and Berkshire pigs and also have sheep, horses, chickens and cats. You’re likely to meet Hilda – an exuberant boxer who loves children.
There are so many barn conversions in the Cotswolds but Kate and Ben's barn is a truly magical one. An absolute haven, so cosy and comfortable when we stayed there sheltering from the full on November weather. However there is no doubt that the barn must be an equal delight in the sunshine, with the doors open and just a few yards to the pool lake. It's West Oxforshire location also means its fully in the beautiful countryside but that much closer to London making it super convenient for a long weekend. We loved it.
