Hollin House

The house is spacious, light and airy. All rooms feel fresh and contemporary in design with off-white walls, a few well-chosen antiques and no clutter. Interesting original paintings, mainly abstract, adorn the walls and there are books and a piano in the log-burner-warmed sitting room. Helpers can chop and chat at the big farmhouse table in the kitchen, or you can eat in style in the dining room.

The kitchen is big with a large range cooker and plenty of equipment for a happy cook and there’s a spacious utility room off it with more storage and drying space – perfect for dogs as there’s another door to the outside here. Bedrooms (one downstairs with its own wet room) are upstairs – cool, calm and relaxing with views to moorland from all. There are five gleaming bathrooms in total, two en suite.

Eat out on the small patio area or round the corner on a picnic bench by a wooded area – you’ll only hear birds and the wind in the trees.
