The Experience
Step inside to a generous space with high ceilings and light pouring in from lofty Crittall doors – lovely in summer to fling them open and bring the outside in. There’s football, croquet and cricket to play and a communal indoor heated pool, spa area and gardens. If the weather is grim you’re kept cosy with underfloor heating and you’ll find books and board games as well as TV. Cook sociably in the thoughtfully well-equipped kitchen or book a private chef.
The master bedroom is downstairs and has gorgeous views, a well-dressed bed and an en suite Jack and Jill bathroom, shared with the upstairs bedroom (which can be a twin). Each barn has its own private garden with stunning views over the Malvern Hills for al fresco meals to the sound of birdsong. There are lots of extra activities to book – massage, yoga, games, walking tours, kayaking – all can be organised.
Walk straight out into magnificent woodlands, stride the hills or cycle quiet roads. On cloudless nights you’ll be stargazing.

Location
The neighbourhood
You're up a private track in rural peace. The Inn at Welland and The Swan near Malvern (both two miles) come highly recommended. Ledbury is five miles for a market on Tuesdays and Saturdays, a good pub (The Feathers) and lots of independent shops selling clothes, antiques and books. Eastnor Castle (three miles) has a deer park, arboretum and lake, with events in the summer. Hereford is 20 miles.
Fairoaks is a truly fantastic place to escape the daily hustle and bustle. There are endless opportunities for things to see and do, and the barns are not only beautifully designed but also really comfortable. The location and the views of the Malvern Hills are spectacular. I think it's a perfect hidden gem where you can escape, unwind, and enjoy an experience that feels very personal!
